Yeah, that was great. I am sure a lot of high school kids watch the only college game on tues/wed/thurs.
They really turned on UAB in the second half and started talking about how the upper deck at LF is condemned and will be torn down in january, their athletic facilities are horrible, and most people in the state (AL/AU fans) don't want the football team to exist or be funded.
That along with the attendance had to hurt the NCUSA brass.

Right now, we have 8 of 11 games scheduled against BCS opponents - kind of cool.
Have we ever played more than 2 BCS teams in a season?

One good thing about these weekday games - 2 FULL pages on USF with the major headline "Hall, Bulls Pour It On". 4 articles plus the notes/wrapup column.

If USF wins 4 of its last games and finishes 6-5, and CJL has to apply the Tenn Tech game to make it to a bowl ... he will do it in a heartbeat.  Especially if we are the fifth and final C-USA team.
Agreed. You have to take it if it comes. He absolutely could not refuse a bowl and face the seniors on this team.
BTW, this could get interesting with NO probably having to pick teams before our last game meaning we could commit to a bowl not knowing if we have to use TTU as a win or not.

What is the current 2005 schedule? Last I knew, we had 4 openings.
3 BE Home
UCF Home
4 BE Away
PSU Away
2 Open Home (if we insist on 6 home games)

I did like how they covered about 10,000 end zone seats with green tarps and the blazer logo. We should do that in the upper deck of the visitor side for high camera shots. The Mutiny used to put huge banners up there to make the stadium a bit more "intimate".
It had to be embarassing for UAB and NCUSA that the stadium was totally empty AND the announcers kept talking about it.

On the right weekend, FAMU could easily bring over 5,000 fans from all over Florida.  Plus I have seen the band and yes you guys are correct - they will be a big draw alone for people who have witnessed the spectacle.

According to ESPN Josh threw the 77 yd pass to Peyton.  Are they wrong or was I just not watching close enough, I thought it was Pat.
They are looking at an alphabetical roster very quickly and just picking the first Julmiste on the list. They pronounced a few names wrong tonight - "that was a big hit by VIRPULL".

Unfortunately www.andrehall.com is already taken and I don't think it is our man - http://www.andrehall.com/

We will destroy UAB!

Too bad there is no mention of the Ice Bulls at the ISF's website. Would be nice if they provided a link and/or schedule. BTW, they say they have a pub with specialty beer. USG, can you drink beer in the bleachers or do you have to stay in the pub? I am starting to really look forward to this.

Forget the scholarship issue for 1AAs. You can only use a 1AA team every 4 years for bowl eligibility. Who knows, we may use TTU for this year and then can't use another for 4 years so it really doesn't matter if they meet the requirement or not.

GOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLD!!!!

I can understand the importance of ICD/CPT coding experience for the head coach.

Vegas  UAB -17
Sagarin  UAB -15.5
Harmon  UAB 24, USF 7
Sounds a bit high to me.

1. A 3-2 second half of the season with flashes of hope (and better discipline) for 2005.
2. Yes.
3. Yes.
4. Bowl appearance 3 out of 5 years and vying for BE championship in years 3-5.
5. Football. I believe football will always be number 1 or 2 in 5 years in conference with basketball consistently holding down a 6-12 slot.

I have to believe Utah will lose somewhere down the line.
Utah only has 4 games left - all in conference and all very winnable (is that a word?). Best team left on schedule is a 4-4 BYU.

Duh, no ice at the forum - right.
Thanks for all the info, Girl.

Yes I would too...but it is a BIG BUT
That's a bigger butt than my grandmother's!
Absolutely NO WAY a one loss non-bcs team gets in. The computer polls would shoot them down because of SOS and most voters would drop them quickly with one loss.

I think SMiss and UL tie - there is no tiebreaker. They are declared co-champions and the president of the Liberty Bowl basically determines who the real champions are by giving them an invite.

USFGirl, how many people do the Ice Bulls draw at their games?
I found it interesting that Florida Southern and FGCU play in real arenas and not community ice rinks - that has to cost them a pretty penny.
Maybe with the lockout, the Forum would let the Bulls have one home game there for dirt cheap and they mail the Lightning season ticket holders free tickets for admission and ask for team donations at the door.

I too forgot he was on the Bears and did not hear his name called at the game - darn.
Thanks, MG.

Funny how Leavitt is not on anyone's list for the job given our down season. He was like the second coming for Alabama when we were hot.

You don't get in the gator bowl with a 6-5 record - right?
