  1. Nice!  I am just saying, whatever it takes to move those tickets a little more. I am in on the package deal this year, plan to buy a few more seats this week for the cause; however,  the signed ticket was a good birthday, delayed Christmas gift, <insert special occassion here> gift to some of the BULLS that are unable to attend such games. That ticket being signed would be good for me.  I am just saying... how bout a signed PapaJohn's Pizza Bag?
  2. I just looked on the papajohnsbowl website and to see if they had an example of the tickets. The click through link takes me to UAB . . . http://ev10.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventInfo?ticketCode=GS%3AUAB%3AF06%3ABB%3A&linkID=uab&shopperContext=&caller=&appCode= Gimme a signed pizza box and a ticket then.
  3. It is all about effective communication. It is something that the both the Alumni Association and Athletics are working on. Believe it or not, I still run into people that don't know we have a football program. Getting the message out is an ongoing thing. Case in point, I was at Target in Orange City last night, which is just north of Orlando. The person was getting into their car with a Bulls FL tag on it and I said "GO BULLS" - the guy just looked at me with a questioned look. When WE HAVE EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION, the guy will start shouting "GO BULLS" back. Just a small example.
  4. Given how well the auction items sell on the www.gousfbulls.com website, http://www.gousfbulls.com/sell/SellHome.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=7700 how could we not afford to take advantage of this vehicle. It is not like it is the 20th bowl game, it is #2, Andre Hall's number - let's get some signed tickets out there. Lets move them seats, lets get that ticket count up.
  5. I have seen it in a few posts, I know I bought these last year, anybody know why we are not doing them? ANYONE?
  6. Anybody know how many seats we sold for the signed tickets last year??? I am kind of wondering why the Athletics folks have not done the same this year. Last year I bought seats, this year I am actually going, WE need to get that number up to 5000 if possible. Are there still students on the board that need tickets?
  7. If you got the newsletter today, you saw the feature on USF. PAPAJOHNS.COM BOWL East Carolina (7-5) vs. South Florida (8-4)  In some ways it is fitting that the two teams playing in the inaugural Papajohns.com bowl are a very unlikely pairing in a bowl game. Two former Conference USA rivals will hit the field in Birmingham, as East Carolina (7-5) and South Florida (8-4) will play on December 23 rd . In only its sixth season at the Division I-A level, South Florida will be making its second consecutive bowl appearance after not making one in its first four seasons. After its second straight fourth place finish in the Big East, the Bulls will look to improve upon a 14-0 loss last season in the Meineke Car Care Bowl to N.C. State. Things are certainly looking up for the Bulls and head coach Jim Leavitt. In their last game, the Bulls went into Morgantown and defeated West Virginia, 24-19, and at the time, knocked off what was the No. 7 team in the nation. Looking at the series history, USF certainly has the advantage. When the Bulls were in C-USA, they met East Carolina three times, winning each game between 2002-04. PAPAJOHNS.COM BOWL Featured Product -   SOUTH FLORIDA  EAST CAROLINA One reason for the optimism around the USF team is freshman QB Matt Grothe. He was named Big East Rookie of the Year, after really coming into his own late in the season, as the Bulls won three of their last four games. Grothe's numbers as a whole may not look that impressive (14 TDs, 14 INTs), but in his last four games, he is averaging 265 yards through the air. Grothe is also the leading rusher for the Bulls, as he is the centerpiece of the offense. He has averaged 50 yards per game on the ground, and reached the end zone another nine times rushing. East Carolina is looking to get some stability back, after missing a bowl the last five seasons. The Pirates' last appearance came in 2001 with a heartbreaking 64-61 Double Overtime loss in the GMAC Bowl to Marshall. ECU was able to get back to a bowl game this year, thanks to five wins in its last six games. ECU QB James Pinkney is having a stellar end to his career. The three-year starter has thrown for 2,658 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, and run for four more. Even more impressively, Pinkney has completed a little over 63-percent of his passes. Pinkney could have a tough time against the USF defense though. Bulls' cornerback Trae Williams will likely draw the assignment of leading receiver Aundre Allison, as Williams leads the Big East with seven interceptions this season. Look for ECU to try and pound it on the ground with leading rusher Brandon Fractious (675 yards, 4.5 yards per carry). It may be easier for ECU to move the ball on the ground, especially considering the USF defense is prone to the run. The Bulls have given up an average of 120 yards on the ground. Either way, fans of Conference USA will have flashbacks from a couple of seasons ago, before USF made the big step up to the Big East.
  8. I know we did a post about this a little while ago. When was it announced and when is it scheduled for? I am trying to plan out my January - August for next year, don't want to schedule anything for the day of the Spring game.
  9. Whom ever made that post a while back was right on the money! http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/local/orl-ucfshort1206dec12,0,1096995.story?coll=orl-sports-headlines UCF drops Gators from '07 schedule Kyle Hightower Sentinel Staff Writer December 11, 2006, 5:26 PM EST UCF officially released the opponents for its 2007 schedule Monday and will play six home games in consecutive seasons for the first time since moving up to Division I-A. Some of the dates and times are yet to be determined, but after hosting three Conference USA East Division opponents in '06, the Golden Knights will go on the road for games against East Carolina, Southern Mississippi and UAB. They will host Marshall and Memphis, who they played on the road this season. And two of their crossover games with SMU, Tulsa and UTEP from the C-USA West Division will be at home as well. UCF will play four non-conference games, the first against 2005 national champion Texas on Sept. 15, which will also serve as the opener for UCF's new, on-campus stadium. The Golden Knights' previously scheduled trip to Florida next season was replaced with a matchup at N.C. State, the first ACC opponent the Knights will have faced since 2001. The non-conference portion of UCF's schedule also includes a trip to Tampa to continue its series with USF (Sept. 8) and a home game against Louisiana-Lafayette, currently slated for Sept. 29. "It doesn't have anything to do with competition," O'Leary said of the Florida game. "The most important thing for us with this new stadium is to get at least six home games every year."
  10. I would recommend you give them a call tomorrow. There are three vendors that put them on EBAY pretty regularly, I got mine by searching searching for USF Jersey a while ago... I bought one off EBAY was around 60-70, another from collegejerseys for around 50-65. If your wanting one soon, I would call bullsheaven tomorrow.
  11. The answer is yes! ! ! Bust a move over to BULLSHEAVEN and get a game worn for $49.99, http://www.bullsheaven.com/store/viewItemBundle.asp?idProduct=635 You can also get em off EBAY and COLLEGEJERSEY.COM, you will pay more this way. I have seen the BULLSHEAVEN in person, they had both the green and the whites, only seem to have the whites online right now.
  12. The whole return on your money thing was something we talked about when I was on the Board of Directors.  There are many reasons IMHO there are not more people giving.  Some schools roll the Alumni and Athletics together, some don't.  Some folks see a better return having a BULLS license plate on their car instead of an Alumni membership.  The biggest thing for me is getting Alumni to reconnect with the school, sometime football does this, sometimes seeing another person with Bulls gear on does this. . . . and someday, sending letters out to the Alums in your area does this.  Memberships are great, but if you want to see some differences, some improvement, people need to donate what works best - THE TIME THEY VOLUNTEER. It is a big investment, to me, my time is more important then my money, but I still give it.  And oh yeah . .  Me and Mrs. Kdawgy are fully paid life members as of this month.
  13. I am up to speed, but until a company knows how many to make or how many folks are willing to pony up, there will be no action. I am still pissed I can't get a USF logo on the Columbia shirts at Bealls. I am pissed I can't get USF anything in most of the Bealls in Orlando. The big three have neon, in order to be the #4 school in Florida to get it, money will do the talking. My Christmas list to Santa for logo stuff... Iconic U neon sign - see links above Logo Tailgate tent - http://www.everywherechair.com/lc-tent-clr.html Cubavera logo'd shirts in XXL - Any decent logo'd shirts in XXL
  14. Given the typical pricing from places like these: http://www.neoncentral.com/catalog.jsp?pageName=UNIV http://www.signsdirect.com/Home/Eastern-Schools http://www.neonsignsanddecor.com/group.asp?grp=51 http://collegeneonsigns.com/ I would expect that the first batch of such a sign would run 300.00 or more.
  15. Allow me to bring up an older post on the Neon Topic http://www.thebullspen.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/nph-YaBB.pl?num=1140577568/ I believe the route for us to take is to talk to one of the major Bulls stores. From what I understand the stores have 'licenses' on the logos and could potential order such things to be manufactured.
  16. I thought it was the food at Moffitt Hospital, that was the best eats on campus back in the day.
  17. Anybody staying at the team hotel? If so maybe we can get a cab load from there. If so, I would say add 2 more.

  19. Kevin, I think it is the intentions of the bullbackers to donate tickets in our name.  There should be a thread on our board.  Check it out.  I looked, didn't see them yet, someone just needs to let me know where to send the money or paypal donation.
  20. It is good to see this thread running along... Do we want to donate these tickets to the students in the name of thebullspen.com or via BullBackers or some other name or group??? Someone please give some feedback, is there a vehicle to make this work so students get them in their hands? Did we not do something like this last year? Just curious.
  21. If ever there was a chance for folks from the board to throw down. . . ?
  22. Hey!! I live in Orlando!!  > Ditto, I live in Orlando. There are men in Orlando, men with plans to travel to a bowl game, dammit ! ! !
  23. It means Gators and LSU people are suddenly smiling and making nice comments about the Bulls. It means that people are going to notice. Hopefully, more folks will be making more Bulls swag and maybe we will finally get the iconic U in neon. It means that my seasons tickets are getting that much sweeter, maybe CLUB ACCESS next year.
  24. HOTTI EN10S or IN10Z depending on preference. The infamous Sheriff's NO2UF available? You could also go do GREEN or GOLD maybe
