    The worst lies are the lies we tell ourselves, I guess it helps people cope with what has happened by pretending good is bad but it does not make it true in the case of this any more than it does in the CJL case.

    Just because math and previous results dictate that Florida is our best path towards success does not mean that there are not great options in other states it just means we would have a hard time finding and landing them in comparison to the time we could invest in the state for better results.

    Without looking it up I recall Ford being let out of the dog house and running for a lot of our offense ( I could be completely wrong) so if we have a more balanced attack and show something that resembles a passing game I will be mostly pleased because I will see that we are working towards something that is showing a form of results. If we run up the middle , have no passing game, reduce our rushing yards and win by three or heaven forbid lose then yes I probably will be complaining along with many others.

    Some people are fine with being wronged others require a righting of that wrong to move on, sometimes I envy the people that are fine with what ever is served to them but it’s not in me to be like that. I’m not taking it personal and require a righting of the situation for CJL in order to move on and I don’t want retribution for the time wasted since the move I just want it to be undeniably better today (nothing more and nothing less).

    What you fail to recognize is the longer that time goes by and the greater the body count of coaches grows the more impressive it is that it’s not seeming to be possible to get to that better people were so confident we could achieve. That and that we had a historic rise while still having the success we can’t match on our unfortunate fall make it a bit difficult to get over. USF needs to be successful and you will be amazed at the job that does in fixing hard feelings. For perspective the only other coach we have had with a winning record just got fired and the second best coach we have had lost to an FBS team, has a sub .500 record and never won a bowl game. The time after CJL has been abysmal in comparison to the time during it and it is past time that gets fixed.

    I really only bring it up when people call on me directly, bring up CJL or try to insinuate that anything in any way has been improved in the program since his departure (and I have promised to stop doing the last one as soon as things are actually improved for an extended period of time. If you think watching me carry this cross is difficult you should try carrying it for this period of time. I’m exhausted and as ready as anyone for the program to be restored).

    I’m not sure how to proceed I expected a response of how much minutiae I do fixate on and then I planned on expressing they weren’t trivial if I deemed them important (also read as in line with my argument).

    Because top oline players do not come here but if someone actually pull it off that would be amazing. If part of their plan hinges on this requirement it’s probably a recipe for failure and we would be better served with a plan that’s not based on miracles. Everyone wants a great line unfortunately getting that line appears to be more difficult than simply wanting those guys.

    They all think they are different and can be the one to successfully run what made them successful elsewhere, it’s our job to vet them and find the ones not trying to shove their square pegs into our round holes. If anyone says the words pro or that their plans revolve around having a top offensive line they should be immediately disqualified and should they make it through that step there should be a clause in their contract that ever saying those thing during their tenure here will result in them being termed immediately with cause.

    That’s not entirely fair the schemes in and of themselves are not bad they are just a bad fit here.

    CJS isn’t required to have McCloud at QB he was free to bring in whoever he could and he did bring in people, that he doesn’t think what he brought in should replace him has more to do with CJS than it does with McCloud.

    Bell is unique in that in a sea of horrible OC’s we have had he distinguished himself as one of the worst, that’s no small accomplishment.

    I’m going to hire some new people for the punch up of my material asI do recognize that we have no gifts quite like KB this year and also some of the better personalities to play off of are not as prevalent. I need a foil and my heart isn’t really in it with anyone right now. Still I take ownership of the situation and I can and will give you the better you deserve as a reader.
