Does this mean one upper deck is opening up? That should be enough I'd bet. I know the lower levels are pretty much filled up, according to ticketmaster...I haven't bought my tickets yet (I'm waiting for my dang friends to figure out who's paying who) but each time I check another section is taken.

Well...I don't think the FSU @ BC would change things so much....but having UF/Tenn @ G'Ville will send a lot of curious casual fans to G'Ville or in the sports bars. That'll make a difference. I don't think Paul McCartney will affect it either way...those people wouldn't be at the game anyway. But this was like last week and the only good game in FL...it'd add about 3-5K more.

To experience your traditions and crowd activity and allow you to see how UCF does things to pump it's crowd. The UCF band will pretty much carry our crowd cheers and chants. They keep it going the whole way....there's the usual "fight song"....then the "war chant"...then the "UCF GO" precussionary beat after every 1st down....then some other silly little things they do. Some razzle dancy thing I never understood...but anyway...I hope you enjoy it!! The only USF game I ever went to was back in '98 or '99 when USF play WKU (parents are alum) and we all went to the game with them. Most of the music came from the Jock Jams CD over the loud speakers....any new band traditions or fan fight songs the band carries them with?

But 1200 Student tickets total...that's a good number from campus...I expect a lot of students to travel over on their own, too. A lot were turned down for tickets and will have to buy them online or wherever.

I am!!! I'll be at the game and my favorite thing in the world is to tailgate and go to UCF games!! Especially games like these!! Although...this game in particular hasn't been experienced...it'll be fun to be on the road so close to home!!

We deserve to be in it until we win...but come next week...we'll be out and USF will be in for being the scapegoat that lost to UCF!! BWWAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Get off of it...we'll delegate our own growth and success...USF has yet to prove anything. This article should be plaqued in USF's AD office for good now, I assume. According to this...USF and UCF should over with it as of 2007. No matter how many fans attend the games...no matter how much fun it is for the fans and players...how much revenue it could build...just cause USF doesn't want associate itself with anyone but BCS. I call chicken-$hit!!! You still FEAR LOSING TO UCF>>BOTTOM LINE!!! CHICKIPOOS!!! FROM MIKE BIANCHI..... GET OFF YOUR MULES!! If you win a National Title or even reach a bowl...I'll eat my words then. UCF will reach a bowl BEFORE USF!! Beat us to that and we'll see what happens next!!! The RISKS you take to have a fun, exciting rivalry!!

Overall...it's okay to have rivals with both the conference and cross-town....or central part of the state, here. Do you honestly think the game with USF and Miami is being hyped as a start of any rivalry? I don't think one Cane fan will even touch that word in association with UM.

Conference rivals are different than interstate non-conference rivals. UF/Tenn is for all the marbles almost every season in the SEC East...those schools hate each other because a loss dictates the rest of the season. FSU/UF is different....most players know each other...fans know each other...families are split and it's about bragging rights. We have those similarities with USF and neither school is set to begin any of these rivalries with UF, FSU or Miami...seeing that they already have their slate full. Our schools and fans need a game like this to get into and develope traditions around. It creates a great atmosphere and excitement. It's more about fun...whereas the conference games are for more importance in bowl selections and $$$. You won't find too many Gators and Vols that know each other...same goes with Gators and UGA fans. Sure...the UGA/UF series is storied and traditional...but ask any Gator and they'd rather beat FSU. Just enjoy it...it's fun for everyone!!

This is YOUR biggest game of the year. Really...lose this one and it'll be a LOOONG season for you guys...especially with the murderous schedule the next few weeks!!

That's the spirit!! USF needs UCF as much as UCF needs USF for this one....forget UF/USF as a rivalry. Aint ever happening. We'll always be there to ruin that for you. ;D

I think coach is right...in a way...a rivalry takes time to develope...that's why it's stated as being a "natural rivalry"...a game that will be a rivalry for sure. Unless USF backs out...but from what I've seen...everyone on both sides seem very excited about this game.

It's a rivalry...he sees it as that...I see it as it is and most of our and your fans do.

Okay....look in the mirror. Actually...I'd say our games with USM, Marshall, UAB and Memphis are bigger games for conference purposes...but I've been looking forward to this one for a while!! Knowing a lot USF grads, an away game easy to travel to, bragging rights...all that fun stuff!! These games are more about fun and bragging rights...just like UF/FSU...the coaches will tell you that the biggest game of the year for the team in probably Tennessee and UGA...but the fans will all say it's FSU. We're just starving for a friggin' victory before heading into CUSA play...and La-Lafayette won't be as sweet!

I'm not sure if UCF bring 13K...but I'd bank on 7-9K, easy.  Everyone I know and from what I've heard...almost everyone within reach is going....including a lot of season ticket holders in which the USF ticket was included in some packages. Plus...we usually have a bunch a walk up fans at home rather than pre-game sales...we'll hopefully bring a good following. Too add...I'm bringing about 30 people and haven't bought any tickets yet...I know there will be available....USF is selling the upper decks.

That kind of stinks that you all have to go through this...half the fun of the games are the tailgate parties!! Almost too much at UCF...can't get most people to even come inside.

So the mall is where we'll need to be? Our die-hards are EARLY birds...there will be UCF fans wanting to tailgate @ 7am!! But 4pm is silly for any team. Half the traditions with the schools that families build are the tailgate traditions!! We're planning on being there no later than 12pm. I guess we'll have to be in the Mall lots or around HCC...but that stinks. No atmosphere. Oh well.

Man....I can't believe this! How do you all enjoy the games not being able to tailgate 3 hours prior? Our group was planning on being there no later than 12pm!! Man! Hopefully you will be able to open up earlier around 1pm or so.

I love the fact the Meyer is bringing some spirit back at UF.  Honestly...has the UF/FSU games been nearly as fun to watch the past 3 years? As a college football fan...I love it!!  I actually miss the Spurrier days at UF.  Sure...there was a lot of classless BS spewed...but it didn't matter to my school and was a lot of fun to watch.  I just hope Spurrier can successful at USC and Meyer has to contend against him for the East, eventually.  Can you imagine the ribbing between those two??!!  The Good:  Brings fun back into the state of florida for college football...too much "sweet" Zook has brought down some toughness and swagger this state had.  It wasn't fun to beat UF anymore...now those teams will enjoy it more. The Bad: Better back it up or it'll be a LOOOONG off season. Can't blame him though...UM and FSU still don't have the fan base of UF or the support.  Meyer wasn't wrong there. As for UCF and USF fans...none of us can really say anything about Meyer.  Both of our schools would be plenty happy to have him coach our teams.  No offense to GOL...I'm still giving him 2 years to prove himself...but I wouldn't be upset if UCF had Meyer, instead.  And I know that USF would say the same thing vs. Leavitt.

Sorry to cut in here....but it's natural for an athlete to feel that way when they aren't playing. He's a competitor, first and foremost. It's hard to watch from the sidelines...especially when the team is losing. These players feel that they could make a difference and get frustrated when they can't help out. It's perfectly natural.
