  1. I agree with that actually.  Rivalries take time to develop.  But I have to admit...there was a fun atmosphere prior and going into the USF/UCF game this year.  Then again...there will be again for the UF game next year...at least on our part. But there will be a great atmosphere in Orlando next year with an improved UCF team with even more experience.  But overall...the locations of both schools and youths of the programs will always make this game interesting. As bad as UCF was the past 2 years....we all know any team in Florida with a good coach is gonna compete once they get experience. I wouldn't doubt that UCF is favored next year vs. UCF.
  2. Losing stars at RB, WR, LB and will be starting who knows at QB.
  3. USF is a better team this year, for sure. But I think we'll see a different game vs. each other in Orlando next year. We return a lot of players and have some emerging stars at the WR and RB positions. Should be a lot closer next year and very loud!!
  4. I would like to intervene....The UCF/USF thing as school sports in general has some great rivalries in other sports. Football is early...who knows what happens next season @ Orlando as far as outcome. UCF plays tough at home and will be returning a ton of good players. The buzz will be there and the buzz and atmosphere at the game this year was good....you can't deny the crowd, either. But overall IMO...I'd say with your old Metro/CUSA ties with UL...they'd be possibly your biggest rival...but they'd say otherwise as far themselves. They're biggest is obviously Kentucky and always will be. Then possibly Memphis after that.
  5. This will be affecting our game, too. If that thing gathers a certain amount of strength....there's no way either school risks anything.
  6. FAU is in a realm where there is "0" support from alumni and fans. Schnelly will eventually burn out on trying anymore. FAU is in the Sunbelt and will probably win some conference games or even compete for the Sunbelt title...but that's not saying much. They're rebuilding already...it'll be a while before they're back. UCF is on an upswing and although climbing slowly...they're still climbing and receiving a lot more support from alumni and brass. The program will have better facilities on campus in all sports within 5 years....Football and indoor sports within 2. By 2007...UCF will have a solid experienced team and be competing for the top 25. In fact...once UCF's facilites are built...it will be USF that will be wondering how UCF got right back in the game. UCF will be one of most attractive schools for athletes to go to in FL. Not saying that UCF will be competing with the Big 3...but FAU won't catch up or grow like USF did.
  7. I wouldn't overlook Rutgers...they're a decent team and well coached. Too add you have to go up there. Good defense, as well.
  8. Caddy most certaintly did!! Hope his foot is okay!! It's nice to have the Bucs "D" looking like their old selves again...fair schedule ahead of us, too!!
  9. Well Bulls...it was fun! I had a pretty good time despite the outcome. Tailgated with a few USF fans, too. They were a little taken back by the amount of UCF fans there...but really cool. Again...I wish the game were better. UCF has a lot of work to do. Hopefully we can get things turned around during conference play. Good luck in the conference games and see ya in Orlando next year!! Hope your fans travel up!! I was pleased to see so many UCF fans there...despite or record. Hope the series continues...it was a lot of fun!! Good luck!
  10. Do you honestly think some UCF fan actually did this? Just thinking that is pathetic. :
  11. LOL..."JOE". ;D Anyway...I think this rock thing is pretty funny!! He he! I don't think it's not classy....it's harmless. Just in fun!!
  12. Um...if we ever schedule UL...we will definately try. Thanks. And "the" game you beat UL was not the same UL team playing these days.
  13. These numbers were listed as incorrect by the Tampa Sports Authority and announced that USF actually averaged 19K themselves last season.  Including your final two games averaging less than 13K a piece.  Quit trying to add to the smoke and mirrors, JimSig.
  14. That's bulletin board material? Saying the Big East isn't better than CUSA? Yeah....that'll rile 'em up.
  15. I think it'll be a GREAT atmosphere!! I'm really excited.
  16. I get this feeling that USF fans kind of "don't" want this UCF game to have good attendance. Although USF needs to improve...it's willing to sacrafice this game to get rid of it. I don't understand the logic behind it...but this it is the factors I'm seeing. Living in Tampa...I heard a TON of ads for USF/FAMU....but so far NOTHING for USF/UCF. Hmmmmm. The USF staff has said that attendance will be a factor in the decision to keep the series going....hmmmm. Just wondering. I know the die-hards will be there and the students....but knowing all the stuff going on with UF/Tenn...wouldn't you think USF would be pushing this game a BIT harder?
  17. UCF definately had at least 51K at the VT game in Orlando...remember it was fresh off the Bama win...and added another win over La Tech to end the season....as well the hype was Michael Vick was going to play....so trust me...there was a BIG crowd for that game..maybe 3K VT fans there. Y'all are going to enjoy playing big teams at home....WV brings a ton a fans and you have already enjoyed Louisville's and FAMU's fans. But the fans that will not be quiet will be UCF FANS!!! We don't stop and we WILL be loud....ALL GAME!!!
  18. You know what...now wonder nobody talks S. Florida football in Tampa. You all act like it's "un-cool" to get up for games....you guys are lame. I live in Tampa and try to talk about USF football...and most fans are like..."Oh...they play in Ray Jay right?" They don't get excited for anything....except the Bucs (which is okay in my book...Go Bucs)...but anyway what's with all the down play? Is your team not playing or what??? You all should get pumped for EVERY game!! I can't wait for the game in Orlando...but I doubt you USF fans will even come and support your team. USF fans will rather sit at home and watch FSU or Florida or something.
  19. We'll play between plays and during a ralley...but our band has been known to slip during game play.
  20. Well...it's at least one of our positives...our band is pretty active in cheerleading the crowd. The songs and cheer bits are pretty old and well known with most fans.
  21. That's a stupid thing to do. That hurts USF fans perception of their games, too. I heard that, too. He said they were more excited about "Miami". And Sileo said..."Whoa...hold on...you're not there." I don't recall anyone talking about USF Miami, this year...it's been all Big East and UCF.
