  1. Just got back to the hotel in San Antonio from the Elite Eight. Pete Gillen was there calling the game via radio, I called him over and asked him about the USF job, he was real nice but replied " I am too old".
  2. why he wouldnt play, get mad, then transfer

  4. $800K offer to Marshall has been made, couldn't we have gotten a big household name for this kind of cheese?
  5. http://www.pbso.org/index.cfm?/36236E2D250215130035161D520F070B37523F371E40392C392E20013D0E0B33001818001A0231073F021E4037272013795E545750755C2B46595E50625C51594312611D3561231D0641112F101916541702214901041C4A6D70637F7E5D50525C73538D/index.htm
  6. Yes, the lower level is sold out, however one of the issues is some individuals have been sitting there for many many many years and are still paying a $500 donation to sit there, and the current level to sit there I believe is $3500 (if someone can please verify), there are donors who are donating alot more that are stuck in the 2nd level because of this problem. I do thank those people who have had tickets for longer than I have been alive, and they should have first right at those seats, however the season tickets need to be reconfigured to the new level donors otherwise Bulls Club and USF is going to continue to lose money because I know, there are people who would donate more than they currently do if they could have better seats for basketball.
  7. The coaches DW is looking out, he knows the salary will increase by atleast 100% and maybe even close to 200% than what RMC was making, it just does not make sense, from a business standpoint, how this can be afforded. I believe in football, donors compensated for the different for CJL's salary, but I cannot imagine that happening for bball especially since articles stated many boosters liked RMC.
  8. Maybe some with more knowledge than I have on this topic can help further explain. How can USF or any school for that matter take a coaches salary from 250K to 800K overnight. USF is operating on a budget, without something significantly happening, how can that budget all of a sudden increase without operating through a deficit. I understand how it happens in pro ball, because an owner is the one paying players and coaches, even with large companies if sales increase there is additional money to give employees or new employees raises, but how do monumental raises of this take place in college athletics?
  9. Who struck gold or oil on the USF campus........................800K?? Glad to know I attended a rich school.
  10. After reading the paper this morning, I noticed the scores are so much more lob sided than on the Men's side, why is that?
  11. We are not in the same league as Michigan, ESPN's article only lists 2 of the coaches whom they also list for the USF job. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2802320
  12. Would he take the USF job and then bolt for the Canes in a few yrs if indeed that job were to open up, probably, but still worth having him for a few yrs.
  13. Thats B.S. arent we considered the "host" school or Tampa is the host city or a combination.
  14. Who are they, where are they, do they fly charter?
  15. Nobody is on record of saying how much we are gonna pony up. Anyone donating a charter? Of the Big East schools, how many do not fly charter and do not have their own practice facility? Anyway to get those #'s?
  16. So he is going to stay at VCU until what job opens up?? An elite program probably will not be firing their coach anytime soon. I guess if the Kentucky job opend up he could take it, but how many jobs in prominant conferences are going to open up in the next few yrs. Any other big conferences have schools with openings?
  17. I believe they always had courtside seats, I think the number of seats were increased.
  18. As Lee Corso would say "Not So Fast My Friend"
  19. 1) Recruits and anyone else the basketball office chooses to give those seats to, maybe even some coaches. 2) I believe it is up to $10,000............but I could be wrong, and I would also wonder if there people down there who donate alot less but are "Grandfathered" in like they are in the lower bowl across from the students. They need to re-do the donation levels like they did for football, however I do not know if the demand is there for tickets for them to re-do the donation level. 3) It would take passionate students and a winning program.
  20. throw him the chesse, a pracitice facility, & a charter airplane. Why would a coach come to USF if he is not given the tools to be able to compete in the Big East.
