  1. I can understand how donors feel. I haven't donated but I plan to for the basketball team only (I feel like football is the priority with the NIL collective). I realize we can't compete with the blue bloods but I do think if a lot of fans each contribute $100 each month, we can make a difference in the future. Unfortunately, I believe there are very few fans donating with the lack of transparency from Fowler Ave NIL.
  2. I think fans will be tracking his production on this thread so it might be too much of an ask. I’m thankful Youngblood came here and gave the program a boost, and I’m glad he got some money as a reward. Like you, I don’t really care what happens next. My focus is on THIS team. He didn’t want to be a part of this team and I agree that we shouldn’t start threads about him at Bama.
  3. There are plenty of scorers at the Low-D1, High-D2 and JUCO schools that can help us. Just got to find the right fits. Coach was a Recruiting Coordinator at one point which I’m sure helps him a lot in his coaching journey.
  4. What are you waiting for? Get those basketball season tickets!
  5. I loved it! We’ll have several bad dudes to take us to another conference championship!
  6. Let’s go baby!!! We’ll roll with whoever Coach throws out there!!!
  7. Buy them! NOW! Coach Amir has your back…. Do you have his?
  8. I read that Coach used to be a recruiting coordinator earlier in his career. That is very impressive and should help him navigate these new times we're in. I think he has shown the ability to adjust and get winning players. It's unfortunate to lose our Top 3 (and Placer) but we got some talent coming back and I am excited about our big man from Cincy! Add a few scorers and see what happens...
  9. No kidding! He'll get me excited for next season if he signs. Looks like we are the best offer he has received so far--Iona, Eastern Michigan, etc.
  10. Exactly. He isn't leaving. If he works wonders in the portal and makes the big dance next season, he'll be gone for sure.
  11. A championship ring replica or mini trophy would be cool to commemorate the season. I look forward to the gift and watching the team grow.
  12. That's the hope I'm talking about! I have faith in Coach!
  13. What exclusive season ticket holder gifts have you received for men's basketball in the past few years? I saw football got a mini-helmet and a 25-year anniversary book. I was just curious
  14. I don't think the kid is eating Chipotle on your dollar, but I get your point and it is valid. I know a lot of fans are frustrated that players want more, more, more when they didn't have the same opportunities. Student/Athletes should be grateful for everything they get. Whether we like NIL or not, it's the current model and we can embrace it or complain. For me personally, I have grown to hate professional sports. I don't even enjoy watching it anymore. I like USF because I feel like the joy to play is pure. I look forward to showing up and cheering on the guys who put on that uniform and dive on the floor. Win or lose, I can respect that. Or you can pay Ben Simmons 200M to sit out because his feelings were hurt.
  15. Very well articulated. I couldn't agree more. The best teams competing for championships have experienced talent and that seems to be even more prevalent with the transfer portal. While our talent may get raided, I am hopeful our sports teams can use the portal in a beneficial way.
  16. THANK YOU! This is really helpful and makes me feel better about it. I am glad WBB got some money, that was very kind of you.
  17. Something tells me we were in the Final 4 as a token of appreciation for his brother. But hey, there's an argument for him coming to USF, "you can lead this team to the tournament and go pro". We just don't have the cash.
  18. I am not convinced Youngblood is gone. He could have a change of heart. I suspect he's chasing a payday but I think there's hope.
  19. Agreed. I was buying season tickets to watch Youngblood but it doesn't change my stance of buying season tickets. I trust Coach will get what he needs out of the portal. Players will respect how he's handled business with his best players--he supported them and wants what's best for them, not necessarily what's best for USF.
  20. Want to share your betting tips with me next season? I'll be the Arena Club.
  21. If we can keep Pryor and grab a couple scorers from the portal from lower tier programs, we'll be fine. Have some faith! I am sad to see Youngblood go, but we'll find another.
  22. I love your enthusiasm and I am happy you joined the collective. I am a little apprehensive... can you tell the collective to use donations for the basketball team only? I feel like football is the priority. If we gave Youngblood 6 figures or a million, he might have stuck around. But I don't think we even had 6 figures to offer him.
  23. I am a little confused why alot of fans think the Coach will leave (even after Youngblood hit the portal). If he made the March Madness dance, sure. I feel like he needs to make the tournament before considering a jump up. I love the Coach but I don't think he's on the Short List of any big schools like UK.
  24. I am disappointed that Chris Youngblood is leaving (I was excited to watch him next season) but I am sure the Coach gave him his blessing to go "get paid". I don't blame the players though and like Coach said, "if we call them anything, call them CHAMPS". We basically raided Kennesaw State and now, we will go raid another lower-tier D1 team. I don't like the new college basketball landscape but I will be cheering on the Bulls no matter who is out there on the court. I can't stand watching professional sports anymore and I feel like basketball at this level is still pure. I trust we'll bring in some talent and we can create some buzz again.
