Don't give up - we are close
MaBull replied to OhioBull's topic in USF South Florida Bulls Athletics
I’ve said this several times. This is his third year. The contrast in Saturday’s game was painfully obvious. Last year these teams were 2 & 10 this year right now Tulane is 6 & 1 and USF is 1 & 6 with the only one coming against an FCS team. It’s hard to ignore that. In my opinion leadership is a major problem. there’s no excuse for this team to be this bad maybe not 6 & 1 But ar least 3 & 3 injuries are caused by a lot of things in football obviously its a violent sport. But I also think it contributes to injuries is poor conditioning and not being prepared properly. When players aren’t prepared they play tentative and Are constantly out of position which creates More injuries. Watching USF you get the feeling many times especially on defense they don’t know what they’re doing -
It’s also puzzling how many times this defense is out of position on key plays. I’m not at the game so it’s hard for me to see there’s any coaching going on on the sideline.?is the defensive coordinator in the booth? You would think after six games they would figure out how many times this defense is out of position and make some changes.

There a lot of things that can account for injuries obviously one football is a violent sport. Number two is conditioning. But I think what is not considered enough is preparation. I think when you play tentative and you’re not confident in what you’re doing it crests hesitation which makes you more vulnerable to injury. I absolutely believe that’s one of the problem on the defensive side of the ball.

It’s amazing how this defense can be so bad. They’re not even competitive they’re so out of position they don’t know where to go people are wide open in the secondary it’s crazy. seriously either these athletes are absolutely brutal or coaching is brutal no excuse for being that out of position so often

A Wise man once told me excuses don’t count in the big leagues you’re supposed to compete and win no matter what happens Football is a violent sport so injuries happen. But Could it be because this team is so ill prepared and many times it looks like a Chinese fire drill on defense that players are getting hurt more often because they’re just out of position and they’re not being reactionary but playing tentatively
