That wasn't about early reads. It was about player(s) not executing . players not executing is more often than not preparation. My point was that USF was not prepared and it showed because they did not look fluid at all. They were slow and deliberate & BYU was fast instinctive. I will admit that it got a little better at the game went along but it was too little too late.

It was painfully clear Saturday night that USF was two steps behind on every snap. it was also clear that the defense seemed to never get the signal from the sideline on time and many times where in a state of confusion when the ball was snapped. The offense was deliberate which led to easy reads by the BYU defense. Just look at the BYU pick six the defender was in the backfield almost as soon as the ball was snapped. That is 100% a result of preparation. And preparation is 100% of the shoulder of the coaches. Expected better seeing he brought it two veteran coordinators I didn’t have the stomach to listen to Jeff Scott‘s press conference but The first words out of his mouth should’ve been as coaches we did a horrible job preparing this team and we’re not gonna let it happen again. But I don’t think he said it. CJS And his staff attracted a lot of quality players over the past year so it’s mind-boggling that they would do such a poor job preparing them. Jeff and his staff need to hold themselves accountable first and then the team accountable for their performance hopefully that happens.

I can’t imagine having to come out to the press and fans and explain this disaster. I think he needs to acknowledge just how unprepared this team was to play on both sides of the ball

I’d like to know what happened to all those great defensive lineman that transferred in. This defense actually could be worse than last year they can’t tackle in the secondary and they haven’t come within ten yards of defending a pass

This game wasn’t competitive from the first snap really really really really disappointing God knows what happens to this team when they go to Florida and Louisville

The defense is now tired what an atrocious game on both sides of the ball

Just me is it just me or does South Florida look small

And the USFQB is totally unimpressive At this point he looks lost

I don’t think they’ve been within 5 yards of defending a pass !

Say what you want about Leavitt but his teams were almost always prepared to play big games and competed

The Disappointing thing is just how unprepared they were when the game started they were out of position on almost every play on defense and on offense there was no imagination That Absolutely Falls on the coaches. I get they are brand new coordinators with a lot of new player but Really I counted at least 10 plays where the defense was waiting for the call from the sideline and BYU Was running a play. at least three touchdowns were because the defense was out of position & didn’t know what it was doing

It’s hard to believe that This team can be worse than last year they were totally unprepared they look like they’re running in mud totally outcoached on both sides of the ball and outplayed on both sides of the ball not sure I it can get any better
