Because Deion has a strong personality and likes to project "swagger," people either love him or hate him. I'm not really a fan of his style, but I wouldn't have opposed him coaching at USF if it would have improved the program. But would it have? I think there are good arguments on both sides of that issue. We'll never know.

I like what I see in Golesh so far. If he picks up a couple of trophies, rebuilds USF into a long-term desirable destination for coaches and players, and makes us attractive to a P5 conference, he will have done his job. Not much more you can ask for at the G5 level.

While it's true Deion's record is skewed by the fact he's playing USC, Washington, etc., and not Memphis, Tulane, and SMU, people are more interested in wins than post-hoc rationalizations about the quality of the team's opponents. It's all too squishy and most people don't have time for that. If Colorado goes 4-8 and USF goes 8-4, all most people will remember or care about is how Colorado is a losing program and USF is a winning program, not who they played. The rest is just details, fair or not.

Which is another reason why, setting aside money (which is impossible to do really, but suspend disbelief for a moment), I'd rather be a consistent winner at the G5 level than a consistent loser at the P5 level (although of course being a consistent winner at the P5 level is the ultimate goal). And that's an achievable goal for USF, regardless of conference affiliation.

I think he would have been more successful here than CU, but I much rather CAGs swag.

What's he supposed to say?  "Were gonna suck even worse next year."

Yea, I think we will see more of the same. The star power can only take you so far if you are going to overturn your roster like that. Plus, the way he played Shedeur, I would not want to be a QB at that school.

Trips is repugnant however correct, skip and Judy bent us over and laid the wood.  CWT leaving and giving the reigns to CCS was the final straw, sometimes it simply is not meant to be, maybe we recover and maybe not.  An ignorant take is play c in the bowl, huge crowd, great game and look attractive as PUC would say a package deal.

Idk, Judy’s job was to run the school. I think she was great at that. Skip was hired for his name, his success at ECU, and his track record of not “allegedly assaulting a player”. I think Judy was trying to hire someone for pr/damage control purposes

Without Judy, we would have ended up being C (football wise, yay! Education wise, nay!).

Our school is better for all of this, and we are doing things rights. Trust the process.

    nothing was incredible

that is why he was shown the door

no one elite is coming to usf at this point in time

I don’t see anyone from our coaching staff leaving after this one season. Maybe after next season, if the defense is still trash someone goes.

I think a more pertinent question is, who is transferring out after this season?

Hold up everyone. Let's take a step back and play it cool.

So am I the only one reading this as Golesh should move on from Orlando and pick up the almighty bull shark defense with Tom Allen???

At least that's how I read it. Don't think he means that Golesh is looking to leave...

That’s how I read it too.
