I have been to the Pacific coast numerous times to visit my bil/sil in Portland and Eugene.  Drugs, homeless camps, crime, tents, trash and, human waste everywhere. The general public they don't care about Oregon athletics in that area. Usc and ucla has lots of empty seats every game. Been to LA, SD,and SF numerous times and lots of similar vibes. There is a reason there is a mass exodus to Texas and South east.

Tampa is great, but still not a shining jewel. Big cities have big city problems.

Also, we are off topic now.

What’s the scuttlebutt on realignment rumors?

We don’t need ANOTHER DC, we need better talent, especially in the secondary. Memphis knew it. That’s why they came out throwing and never stopped. There were downs when we only rushed three and guys were still running wide open. From Matt Hill and Christian Williams to the bunch we have now, not one of them has been capable in man coverage. Even when we get pressure, it doesn’t matter because someone is running so wide open it’s a completion. Think of all the playmakers we used to have in the secondary - Anthony Henry, J.R. Reed, Mike Jenkins, Trae Williams, Nate Allen, Kayvon Webster, Jerome Murphy, Mistral Raymond, Carlton Williams, Deatrick Nichols etc. We haven’t had one of that type in years.

I miss watching Mike Jenkins and Trae Williams. Ben Moffitt too!

Sorry but the whole we have no talent on defense is a non starter for me. You think UAB or FAU are loaded with defensive talent…of course not. We are getting smoked by lousy AAC schools.

Offense stalling out kind of helped them look good.

I'm not sure of the ramifications of this.  Could it lead to a P4 breakaway?

I mean, it’s just a matter of time befor the P4 breakaway. It has been mentioned multiple times over the last few years.

I think there should be a class action lawsuit from the G5 against the other conferences/cfp committee as well. The system is clearly in place to keep those teams out and the fans of college football have suffered the consequences of missing out on some fantastic story lines and matchups.

I just wanted to look at the overall remainder of the season. There are 4 teams left and I looked up their offensive and defensive rankings. Obviously, there are more metrics that determine the outcome, but I just wanted to look at this from a high level.

Besides UTSA, we are not facing world-beater defenses. From the Army game, I saw, even UTSA can be scored on.

    • 2 of our remaining 4 teams are having offensive struggles
    • 2 of our remaining 4 teams are struggling defensively. (Sadly so are we) Charlotte was a big surprise at 45th. I am not sure how they are ranked so high, but they held a few teams under 25 pts including UF.
    • We are definitely more evenly matched with Memphis than it seems.

Bowl game or bust! Go Bulls!!! :04-rock:

      Offensive Ranking Defensive Ranking
    USF 35th 118th
    Memphis 34th 92nd
    Temple 96th 123rd
    UTSA 53rd 62nd
    Charlotte 118th 45th

Looks like that Memphis game is (in theory) a coin flip. I assume Temple to be a win, and UTSA to be a loss. Charlotte holding UF to less than 24 means nothing to me, we almost beat them with CJS so…….

    But all that extra money!

I wouldn’t be surprised if WVU came over to the ACC for travel purposes, UConn gets added.

FSU and Clemson ( plus a few others) leave for SEC/BIG.

Hopefully USF gets added to that new look ACC. Keep us out of that mess of B12, also I would love to watch UCF squander all that travel money to keep losing in the B12.

Edit: to add on to this. I do think there will be a reshuffling of teams for all conferences besides the P2. Just to make the best products as best as possible and cut travel.

P2>ACC/B12>whatever gets reshuffled around in the bottom.

That’s a brilliant idea to have two backs plus a running qb in this offense. Your hired.

Finally, all these years of playing NCAA video games is paying off!

Pretty soon I will be a professional race car driver and leading the military in a war against a new alien race from outside our solar system!
