I've been getting less and less interested in this pod over time. Not sure if that's because of USF's lack of success recently, or his Texas-centric takes/interests. Possibly both. If he's also branching out into other G5 conferences... meh. I only care about the AAC because I have to.
Same here. He does a lot of “I was right, I told you this was going to happen” and it is legit him just quoting some other tweet guy as his source.
I will say, he has had interviews with Aresco and the MWC commissioner

The remaining ACC schools won't go anywhere. They are going to make a ton of money from the 4 to 6 schools that are leaving. They may bring in the 2 remaining Pac and add a mix of Tulane, USF, UCONN
Why not Memphis, Tulane, USF, and UConn? Just to have 6 out westish teams? Also, Memphis/UConn basketball would be nice to have as well.

Now this is what I call a rivalry. Hopefully both UConn & USF end up in the same conference again down the road
Civil Conflict anyone?

If we were to somehow crush UConn, I would have higher hopes that the team could somehow learn to keep games close against usta/Memphis and end the year well winning against temple/Charlotte. But at this point, im just looking to beat uconn
Naw. UTSA and Memphis have been favorites against us since before the season. I think our 2-3 wins will be UConn, Temple, and Charlotte.

There is still a lot to play for, but we have to stem the tide and get back on track. If we kept falling like an avalanche I’m not sure we can keep a decent class together.
I think the true test is how the coaches and the team responds to getting smacked down twice in a row after being favored in both games.

We have a first year coach who hasn't been here before and is trying to learn on the fly. He had a three game stretch where the players were going all in and played much better than every other game. Now everyone knows what we are going to do on offense and we have not really made any adjustments. The defense tape is out and needs to be make adjustments. He needs to make changes to the gogogo and add some creativity to the offense. We are going to find out what Golesh and the team are made of against Uconn. I hope he can make changes and realizes his plan isn't working. They made adjustments in the Rice game at half and we came back and won. Either way Golesh is our coach even though he was not in my top 5 preferred or top 3 of realistic hires. I want to succeed because I do like his personality and aggressiveness at times, but his lack of adding more to the offense playbook is concerning. It is very predictable and ineffective over the last two games.
To add on to this, we have had a few injuries on both sides of the ball. Also, to put in 110 effort and keep that high energy going is extremely draining. We may not have enough depth for both sides either. I mean CJS’ guys weren’t exactly getting it done the last couple years. You bring in a better crop of starters, but the guys behind them are still the same.
I think CAG would be better served if he slowed down the offense a little bit to save the defense some heartache and to allow them to call some audibles and add new wrinkles.

This offense is getting easy to shut down...clog up the middle and stop BB running and take away deep pass.
Sounds like we should start hitting 5 and ins and slants across the middle.

New conference foe FAU Owls prove they’re USF’s superior, if not rival

Florida Atlantic’s beleaguered offense collects nearly 600 yards in a rout of... -
I think GB is medically retired at this point.
Kelly Joiner is either injured or “injured”.
BB is getting beat up back there.
My honest opinion is, we overperformed against all of our conference foes so far, and Bama.
Bama used our game as a tuneup to figure some stuff out.
Rice could have put the game away if their QB didn’t get hurt.
Navy had costly mistakes.

Back to back blowouts by teams under .500. What changed since Navy?
My two ideas on this:
1. We overperformed early and settled into who we really are
2. we have injuries or players who are playing while still beat up.
Bonus thought: they are still mostly CJS players

Someone said that we were still playing with majority CJS players a week or so ago.

Oh man, are we about to be 0-1 in our new rivalry?

UVA has good non-football sports lately BUT most importantly they are a direct pipeline to future DC lobbyist / criminals. Could be a bold strategy!

OL and DL. these 2 positions are the biggest game changers in football
If I could only pick one of those positions to fix/upgrade OL. Defense has played better when the offense allows them the time.

They are moving to more premium hospitality/experiences.
So, am I safe to assume prices of season tix will up across the board once our new stadium is built?

There are multiple P4 teams with stadium upgrades announced and/or under construction. I believe all of them are lowering total capacity, except for maybe Vanderbilt.
SMU expanding their stadium: 32,000 -> ? unannounced (not p5 yet, however may have been a prereq to joining either PAC/ACC?)
Northwestern 47,000 -> 35,000
Kansas 47,000 -> ? (press release says 2,300 more club seats, but also larger average seat size, leads me to believe less overall capacity)
Vanderbilt 41,000 -> ? (indications of more seats)
Oregon State 43,000 -> 35,000
FSU 79,000 -> "between 65,000 and 70,000"
UF 88,000 -> "reduced by thousands"
PSU a bajillion -> "less than 10,000 removed"
OkieSt 60,000 -> "additional leg room, more aisles added so less seats between aisle" = less seats
Nebraska 85,000 -> "adding more leg room"
Looks like stadiums are moving towards more girth in the stands, rather than more eyes in the stands. Guess the fan base can’t leave if they get winded walking from the stadium to their cars.
