  1. We should have 50 plus reasons to be fighting mad, but our defense rolled over and and took all game.
  2. Be careful trashing philly fans of any sport they may throw up on you. It has happened multiple times for some weird reason. https://www.inquirer.com/philly/hp/news_update/20100416_At_Phils_game__spit_happens__Vomit__too.html?outputType=amp
  3. Losing to the second worst team in conference is not the standard USF should be striving for.
  4. Our defense has been a cure for most struggling offenses.
  5. Golesh mentioned that before Memphis and we did exactly that. If we want to show progress that would be a great start. Put Temple away early and never stop.
  6. Best point made so far. No excuses for anything less than a win.
  7. I agree with the first part, but if the team shouldn't piss away a golden opportunity to go bowling for the first time in five seasons, If you want to show significant progress, get USF back to a bowl game. I only expected 5 wins myself, but now all we have to do is beat 2/3 teams to go bowling. Don't USF this, Coach Golesh and players . Time to get to work and outwork these teams for a win, starting with Temple.
  8. Some nice symbolism there with the Gold robot.
  9. The issue is that if we lose to Charlotte or Temple, we are losing to the bottom fourth of college football teams again. We should be beating these teams. Ironically, we got blown out by UAB, which is ranked below USF. Rice is the only team we have beaten that is ranked above USF, and they are two spots above USF at 104. FBS Wins Rice -104 Technically, we punched upwards here. UCONN -128 NAVY-112 FBS Loses WKU- 78 UAB-109 It was a pathetic showing that we got blown and exploited on defense and got outcoached. FAU-100 It was a pathetic showing that we got blown and exploited on defense and got outcoached. Memphis-38 Played a close game. We could have won if it wasn't for terrible refing (fumble or tackle on WR not called for PI) and questionable decisions on 4th down inside our own 20. BAMA-8 We played a close game, but they had their backup QBS playing, which sucked. They just ran at USF to win in the fourth and took advantage of broken coverage for a few deep balls. So we can rise to the occasion and play with the top 50 teams, but we are getting blown out and allowing 50+ points against teams ranked slightly above and below USF. This is a major concern, and the coaches and team need to fix it. We have the following three teams left: Temple, UTSA, and Charlotte. Temple-119 UTSA-56 Charlotte-116 I hope we beat the teams we are supposed to beat and play a good game against UTSA, perhaps even finally getting an upset win this year. The good news is that we have had three wins where we made adjustments at halftime and came back to win. 10. When you have don't have 5 average or better defensive backs for going on four seasons now , why would any dc want to out 2-4 defensive backs players that are below average to bad fbs starters every single play? I understand how the 3-3-5 scheme works, but having five defensive backs out every play when 2-4 could not start on any other team has killed his team for almost four seasons. The beat three dbs we Evans,Brown , and Stokes have been caught being lost do many times in the zone coverage. The secondary has been the Achilles heel for years and we keep running schemes that the defensive backs should be your strength. The issue could be a talent issue, coaching issue, player not covering their zone correctly, or a scheme issue. It seems it is possibly part all of the above. The tackling has gotten better and the tackled for loss is better under Orlando. Other than that a below average qb can light up usf with the passing game. We saw the Mac backup transfer playing at fau light us up and the backup qb for memphis tear us up. These are not quality starting quarter backs or top 50 qbs and they make our passing defense look like a high school defense among against college teams.
  11. Probably. Can they top 59? Warner can throw , it is in his genes.
  12. Solid podcast and great humor. The defense needs help in the backfield. The one thing I can't understand is all three of the defensive coordinators keep running schemes that use 5 defensive backs and it is clear over the last four years our defensive backs can't cover or tackle effectively. Why do we keeping running a 5db defensive scheme when it is obvious we don't have the defensive backs to run 5 defensive backs every play. 20 and 21 Glenn Spencer 3-3-5 22 Bob Shoops 4-2-5 23 Todd Orlando 3-3-5 The 3-4-4 would be better suited to these players.
  13. The legendary uab defense that outplayed our defense that day we spanked. They don't call it the absolute a** conference for nothing.
  14. I hope it is b, but I am starting to think maybe a little bit of both. The running defense and tackles for loss or better, but the passing game maybe worse. The middle of the field is open for the other teams almost every passing down.
  15. Should have never been extended and fired after year 2. Guy couldn't motivate a team or make a halftime adjustment to win to safe his life or job. If you want to show progress Beat temple and go bowling by besting utsa and/or Charlotte.
  16. Im not the coaches that keep hired guys that were fired and performed terribly at FAU before they were hired here. I wouldn't touch any defensive coordinator that has been here the last four years. BJM would have been a solid pick up, but he is still at Tennessee.
  17. The real question is what fired FAU DC would you hire ?
  18. That was absolute a** passing defensive that netted us 3 losses in the Absolute A** Conference. I am sure they are fine being paid to lose games. They should have lots of experience losing from their time at USF. It is probably nothing new for them except a little more cash in their wallet.
  19. Transfers are usually taking another teams' dissappoint and making it yours. Brown Stephens and Simmons have been serviceable as receivers, but not nearly as good as Horn or Weaver. It is a rare a good starter wants to transfer from p5 to g5. USf doesnt have the NIL money to acquire the best players for their likeness like other top universities.
