  1. I dont thinks anyone thinks they are playing for a new team in the bowl game. He would be eligible to play next year.
  2. He is Grad Transfer so he can play immediately.
  3. I still prefer all the Under Armour jerseys to Adidas Jerseys.
  4. Seems to be a backup mostly that has started some games.
  5. I wonder what kind of offers he will get. I can't blame him to go get two more years of grad school paid for.
  6. I don't care what they do once they leave USF. I won't root for them or against them. I do love Atkins outproduced Weaver and Horn. I do love Wright and Dukes out produced Battie this year. I do like Brown outperformed Timmy this year. Timmy may have out produced Brown if he started every game, but Gus is going to Gus. Grier didn't do much with 36 tackles. Gordon and Shuler outprocued him. So I like to see the guys leave to get paid and the players who stayed out performed them. I get they play in a much better football conference in the SEC and B12, but it is great to see the true Bulls who decided to stay out perform the former bulls who left for money from p5 programs. How would you all feel if Golesh went after Battie to transfer back ? Battie is RB#3 on the depth chart behind to guys that are sophmores and juniors. The only one I truly hope loses every game he plays is McClain because he is playing for UCF.
  7. Pretty much an unknown commodity with not much experience in college football . Long-term I am pretty excited to see what Carter does more than Archie. He had some big offers and chose to come here.
  8. He is our best receiver this year and is in the history books for usf football. Let's get him the single season receiving yards record in the bowl game. We have had some really good receivers and he had a great season. I don't think he is our most talented receiver every , but he can make his case for the most single season productive receiver. Hopefully he makes to nfl as a late pick for a slot receiver.
  9. He was there DC in Jimbo's best years at TAMU. We will have to wait and see how it works out.
  10. He took a trash football p5 team and has built a 7-9 win team on a year to year basis. He knows the TAMU program and probably signed for less than Jimbo. The team was better when he was running the defense. They hired a guy that wins more games than he losses with less and can punch upwards. The AD wants to build a championship contender and isn't afraid to try do it. TAMU went down when Elko left. It could be a coencidence or having something to do with him.
  11. Must be nice. Him and Jimbo have the dream jobs now .
  12. We have to start somewhere. Golesh as of now has the best g5 class. That is all we can ask for while being in the AAC. Hopefully we can start winning more games and punch our ticket to a power conference. It is going to take some time unless something crazy happens with the ACC or pac2 drama. I don't see the b1g,sec, or b12 needing USF anytime soon. I wonder how many of the seniors come back with some extra covid and portal loopholes. I wonder how many depth guys transfer out to play at the fcs level.
  13. THE OCS will help usf make money in the long run. I am not sure how it fixes attendance if we are still stuck in the AAC five years after it is built. I donated again to it today and I will be there opening night.
  14. Florida 5-7 isn't bowl eligible this unless they get in because there isn't enough to that meet the requirements.
  15. Well there it is we beat Towson as one of the wins in Soflo jerseys. Those jerseys had usf green and slime green on them. Thanks for the find. Do we have any other fbs wins in slime green besides last night?
  16. Great press conference. I am glad he mentions 6-6 isn't the standard and never was or will be. 6-6 is the foundtation and we need to keep moving forward. Great game last night. Charlotte looked a lot of our team the previous three years.
  17. I can't remember one and have been asking for years if we ever son a game in slime green uniforms/soflo lime green. I think we started wearing them versus UCF under Strong.
  18. WE should be targeting any guys with talent on offense and defense. If the players enter the portal after their coach is fired or leaves they can be contacted immediately for recruiting. I think most the quality starters will stay or transfer to a better fbs program. We maybe able to land a few back ups or guys who had limited playing time. For example Brown-Stevens and Alexis were a decent find from Texas and Minnesota. Hoping we can find some diamonds in the rough. They werent game breakers, but definitely contributed more than most of the other power5 transfers from the Scott era. Khafre Brown was from a transfer from UNC and he has been productive. We really need to identify and target the backups that have talent that could play next year. College football's new transfer portal windows, explained - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM The transfer portal opens in less than a month, and coaches and personnel directors are already preparing for the "chaos" element. I thought you said they had to wait to enter the portal. A few names have popped up recently -- why are they allowed to enter? There are a few exceptions to the portal windows. Graduate transfers can enter at any time. Even prior to the immediate-eligibility waiver, grad transfers had been able to play for another team right away because they fulfilled their undergraduate requirements. Players whose head coaches were fired during the season will have an immediate 30-day window to enter the portal, allowing other coaches to talk and communicate with them if there's a future spot on their roster.
  19. Did we finally get our first win in slime green on a jersey for football? I prefer the school colors, but the players had fun and won in it for once. Maybe Golesh broke the slime green curse for usf football.
