    Agreed. It looked worse last week. But he looks like a statue back there and ends up throwing up dead ducks more often than not. I don't think he has much of a shot at real success here, but there is a lot of upside with McClain. Let him cook!

    I think McClain gives us a better shot at winning some games, but doesn't mean he will and doesn't mean some is more than 3 or 4 either. He's 18 or 19 and a true freshman. He is going to make mistakes (see the 2 picks last week and a couple bad passes today), but I also think he is the better athlete and can make some things happen. Does it get even tougher if he is named the starter and teams can game plan for him? Most likely, but I'll still take my chances and allow him to grow by playing sooner than later.

    That's why I think the less sacks is more about the playcalling and less about the O-line playing better. Also part of why I think McClain is a better choice of QB

    It doesn't really matter if he's the "problem". But it does matter that he doesn't appear to be the solution. At least not the best one

    I'm slightly worried about Marsh looking pretty good .... in garbage time. Just don't want to see any games. Just give the kid the **** ball

    We called plays to get the ball out of Fortin's hand as quick as possilbe. Of course, McClain is allusive so he can avoid some of the rush.

    Yeah, that's my point and it really should be that hard to do it at the gate as you come in. On the phone thing, I was sitting in 121 and the lady there just let every one pass no issue. She took a break and a guy took over for a short time. Friend of mine had gone up for a drink and was taking awhile. I look up and he is in line with this guy who is checking each person's phone before letting down the stairs. He was there about 10 minutes after I saw him and there were like 3 people ahead of him. Just too much of pain.

    I don't think I would call it "garbage" time per se. I'll also point out he was playing against a far greater caliber of athlete that he'll probably see most of the time the rest of the season. Hell even gator scrubs could probably play at least .500 ball in the aac. No on the Marsh drive, the guys behind me pointed out that all of the gator defensive players' uniforms were completely white.

    I got it. Just figured it was a good place to put that thought. I really was kind of impressed with the throw although it was pretty off accuracy wise.

    He did have a throw from around midfield, center of the field, that appeared to land just out of bounds around the 5 yard line or so. Struck me as a pretty good toss albeit not accurate

    I don't know. There were pressure at times and other times not so much throughout I thought.
