  1. I keep looking at the schedules. Texas(#4 or#6 depending) plays LSU at La the week after our game. Which game do you think they will view as more important? Texas is loaded with $$ so if they need to bow out of our game they might and focus on the bigger game the following week. Possible especially if TX and FL keep the high virus rates. That could put us with 2 blank weeks right off the bat and USF needs...to play some football see what it has for a team. Look at 9/19 w/ NV at home. If? If? the Mtn West plays football this season due to the geo/virus/politics affecting their teams. If all goes down NV will have played about 4 games before we get them which could at that point be our first game...Of course, our game with FAU prob will fly because WT will want to play even if players are laying all over the field...he is searching for redemption. So basically, 2020 can be categorized as an Official Cluster... Personally, I dont think Tx would blink an eye to toss us a mil and say see ya. They got bigger fish to fry
  2. Smazza would need to take the contract review Pro Bono since we have no $$
  3. True True. And from the sounds of it you were on your best behavior after leaving the north woods coming to civilization( I know Hotlanta but almost civilization) ...good job.
  4. Ha! should be easier locating you next time at a tailgate. I only need to sift through about 2/3 of the crowd... :-}
  5. Ha! you should'nt have said that Cuz(no arguments) You have thrown down the gauntlet to the.. I'll argue about anything, anytime, anywhere, for whatever reason folk. BTW nice fitness strides you have made
  6. were buying less wine but spending much more at seafood market
  7. we were at the tailgate but got there late. I didnt see you there??..oh hell, I dont even know you no wonder I didnt see you. Sounds like you met a good group of Bull's folks.
  8. We had many a talented player back the too. USF players started to be absorbed into the NFL many to have nice careers.
  9. Ha! that was sitting on a cook top it actually did burn your rear end. When you stood for a while then sat down it got you again. Question: I know this is off the mark kinda sorta but it was at the GT game...There was a USF guy prob in mid 20's. He was wearing a USF straw plantation hat that looked like it had seen many a good tailgate and prob the team ran over it at one time. He was shown on the jumbo screen a couple times. Know him? Is he on here? He was a hoot...
  10. True True prob a fair percentage of them came from a young life full of serious problems, brutality, etc. The good thing is, they chose to become proficient in a sport to help escape their situation. That's very admirable on their part they chose to change their life circumstances. The virus? They cant see it. They seem pretty tough and invincible. They like to hoot and holler and mix it up with their friends. And dont forget the magnetism they have to the ladies..They may not see what all the hype is about so.... on the field, locker room, work out sessions they toe the mark but when alone..? Hopefully they do.
  11. In that game both teams were seemingly trying to lose it. Our CS coaching skill came into question. BJM was fired up and trying to get the D going. He did get flagged once I think which to me is ok..keep the passion. I think he got a talking to from CS on the sideline. CS only wanted sedate coaching. We were sweating our ass off in the stands. Between us and the guys in front of us there was a lot of bitchin and cussin going on. Yes, we should have won that game. note: was glad to see BJM land in a good coaching spot when canned at USF. he will prob excel now that he has gotten away from CS
  12. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/texas-tom-herman-preparing-for-full-season-until-they-tell-us-to-pivot/ar-BB17bl4l Interesting read on UT's practice protocol moving forward. Like USF their getting ready for 9/5. His comment about the players activities when off the field and their potential to be exposed to virus. None of those who are positive have been traced back to practice. Tough road for young guys(many teens) to approach this virus topic seriously. Undoubtedly the most serious thing they have ever experienced in their young lives.
  13. think of it...we have had 5 head coaches in 25 years. in the aac that's prob about the average amount of time the coaches stay win or lose. except navy but their a different animal. problem is, we've only had one leave due to building a successful program albeit....short term. yep..very hopeful that CJS is the guy.
  14. Ha! the door opened and stepped through it...it's all just comedic material from that point on...
  15. I think it's cool to go to Coach Montinar's twitter account and see the high school kids sending their info/stats to his attention hoping to get some consideration/look. Nice
  16. remember the game when a kid London Bridges?? wonder if this is a spinoff?? she has cute smile... you'll help her down?? oh, she must be one of your students..that's nice of you to volunteer she could get a back injury in that position And the parent says, upon seeing the pic of their daughter...I'm paying how much to send her to college to do that...???
  17. You've been through hell and back. I don't think I would wish your terrible medical trip even on a UCF fan.... Stay strong.
  18. Riding bike...fun stuff. I even keep my 72 year old ass biking along with our daily 2mi walk hell maybe I'll even get to 73?? No more off road that went away as the knee crapped out and the hip got an aftermarket replacement. You know the thing about the Golden Years? Yep, you give all your gold to the doctors... Keep on biking Young'un... Warning! be careful don't peddle too fast your pubic hair could burst into flames..your welcome, its the job of the elders to look out for the young
  19. were all aware that we have enjoyed sporadic fan delight when we knocked off the big guys, made a run at the conference and yes, the rocket ride to #2 in the Country. BUT, we routinely ended up in the middle of the pack, made a bowl and waited for next year. We couldn't finish even when undefeated?? When the new championship scheme was created with it's selection hierarchy. The p5/group of 5 designation became law. Along with the big east squirting out the football schools into the aac catch basin...our world as fans went dark. In the BE we knew in the back of our minds that we might...might just have a shot if we run the table to get to a coveted bowl game. Now? it's a crap shoot along with a miracle and...being undefeated and...needing big wins against ranked teams. I think that's why we get excited but, we control that excitement. For me? USF needs to build a consistent winning football team. Win big games. Hang in the rankings. Win some bowl games make some money. Get the Bull's back into a positive national atmosphere. Create a marketable package just in case, in case...expansion ever comes. amen
  20. Hmmm?? Is that a dream catcher or an animal snare with feathers??
  21. 250 miles a week on your bike that's great... but the big question is: can you find your way home from Vt Ma Can ??
