  1. We are in the midst of a 15 game winning streak, which is 5 more than anybody else in the country. I don't care who you're playing; a 15 game winning streak is impressive. I've been watching USF basketball since 1980, and I've never seen the talking heads regularly calling us "USF" as opposed to South Florida, but it's happening now. CAAR is a **** good coach and the AD/boosters need to do WHATEVER it takes to keep him at USF. He overachieved at Kennesaw State and he's overachieving here. If you think a power 5 U is not going to come after him, you're wrong.
  2. I hit "The Claw" twice. For those of you who don't know, the USF golf course was nicknamed "The Claw", because there was a claw shaped branch that hung out over the number 14 fairway. It may still be there for all I know. Two of my best ever 3 wood shots from the #14 tee box met their demise due to "The Claw". I think they both dropped down and rolled into the swamp.
  3. To me, the thing that makes USF's campus such a great place is that it doesn't have an on-campus football stadium. If the football team is good enough, people will flock to RayJay as they did years ago when USF was briefly #1 in the country and played WVU at home. Please don't RUIN the campus with an OCS.
  4. Tyler is the cousin of 1997 McDonald's All-American Tony Harris, so the pedigree is definitely there. He's streaky from 3 point land but when he is on he can hit from long range. Also something nobody has mentioned yet is that Tyler was clearly the most tenacious defender on a very defensive-minded Memphis team last year. I grew up in Memphis, so I've followed this guy. He is a great get for USF basketball. Tyler Harris is a game-changer.
  5. God I wish I could come to Gainesville. It was be good for the soul, but no can do this time.
  6. Nice to cross paths with you again New England Bull, and I'm totally with you. I just happened to catch the AAC championship last weekend and I appreciate their effort as well. I love to see USF getting represented for all to see, but definitely no pressure on these guys. Just have fun and enjoy the ride.
  7. I graduated from USF in 1986 and greatly enjoyed watching Rich Eiland pitch to Scott Hemond a few times at old Red McEwen Field. HOF'er Robin Roberts was the manager followed by Eddie Cardieri. I think it was like 50 cents admission and I sat right behind home plate with lots of elbow space. This latest run is the closest we've been to the CWS since those phenomenal teams of the mid 80's. I've often wondered if we'd ever sniff the greatness of those 80's teams and while our record isn't nearly as good, we've gotten hot at the right time. The 50+ win team from the 80's had more pressure to win because they had won over 50 games and were ranked in the top 10. This years team looks like they're just having fun. Just one more win and Super Regionals here we come. Go Bulls!
