  1. Someone inform CJS that he should consider building a recruiting wall around Tampa.
  2. Man, thought for sure that would push you 100% into the OCS camp.
  3. No, but the article is about job appeal/perception. Perception becomes reality. ESPN think less of us because we do not have an OCS. Perception is powerful and is listed as a “drawback”. Recruits read these articles, ADs read these articles. Having the lack of an OCS listed as a drawback is not great.
  4. Winning 4 games will be impressive. Obtaining bowl eligibility will be a miracle. But for the BCU and maybe Tulsa game, every team we face will probably feel absolutely defeated if they lose to us. Want to see solid QB play and an identity on offense.
  5. This is from an ESPN+ article, so I will not post the whole thing. At least we made the list, how goes the OCS? I'll hang up and listen. http://insider.espn.com/college-football/insider/story/_/id/29268130/college-football-coaching-job-tiers-boise-state-houston-ucf-most-attractive-group-5 Tier 2 jobs: Solid footing with finances, facilities and support; access to good regional recruiting areas; competes often for league championships, regularly makes bowls and occasionally challenges for the New Year's Six; some history of wins against the Power 5 (recent or long term); solid local or regional fan base. South Florida: USF has Tier 1 job potential, especially when it builds an on-campus football facility that will feature an indoor practice facility. The lack of an on-campus stadium is a drawback, but Tampa is a strong area for recruiting, and the team won consistently under Jim Leavitt and had 21 combined wins in 2016 and 2017.
  6. This, tired of the excuses as to why Oviedo CC is having the success they are having and we are not.
  7. The Asiantii Woulard saga cured me of transfer hype.
  8. I always thought it was a shame that the poor bull had to run so far to the stadium. An OCS would fix this.
  9. We are now CWT’s best option. It is embarrassing, who else would take him at this point? This is the Strong blueprint all over again. I have to believe Kelly knows better.
  10. Anyone else being considered with his resume and it would be laughable, but hey, it’s CWT, so it’s all good... SMH.
  11. Resume: 10 years of head coaching experience. 0-1 in bowl games. (That’s right, present for 1 bowl game in 10 years and lost it). Overall record of 56-62. One season of 9 wins or more. Zero conference championships won. Zero conference championships played for. .... but yet, some are acting like CWT was our savior. I just don’t get it. We can do better.
  12. This x1000, people act like you must either be for him coming back or you hate his guts and always have. Build the statue and look to the future.
  13. Should I have said 3 games? C'mon man, straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel here. I am sure there is a thread, or 7, from 2015 that this was discussed in great detail.
  14. Dude, leave him and Trip alone, they remember things differently.
  15. It is a message board, unless people "qualify" a statement with sources, it is an opinion, that's how it works.
  16. Again, feel free to disagree, call me ignorant, and whatever else makes you feel better. But yes, my opinion is that he was absolutely close to being fired and that will not change. You have a different opinion and I am okay with that, you also need to be okay with that. On a separate note, I am over not taking the next step, we have the talent to win the conference and that should be the expectation every year. If a coach can't get that done in three years, time to move on. Again, my opinion, so relax fellas, it will be alright.
