  1. He can be an offensive liability all he wants. At 6'11 I just want him to get into good position and rebound. At least we know what we are getting with him.
  2. At least we will have some options. Guererro, Manderson, Da Silva all have NBA Center size. Baxter and Santos could play the position at this level against most teams. sidenote: they are running us off our own court.
  3. I would have liked to see Nuñez back down Moore there. He has like 4-5 inches on him, you HAVE to take advantage of that mismatch.
  4. Nice little runner there by McM. Mom hoping COA continues to get an opportunity to turn this around. Maybe some health on this squad will help that cause. But in honesty I think our poisonous fan base will be calling for his head mid season. I want to see these kids grow with the program, McM being the operative prospect, how Holston comes back, how Baxter fits in and Da Silva. But at this point that's more of a foregone conclusion unless next year we start off 7-0.
  5. He is certainly scrambling a little bit but I'd rather see the effort than not I suppose. He can let the easy inside shot go but he tries to double down under on occasion.
  6. Foul on Cousins.... That was a garbage call.
  7. Well SMU was undefeated for some time, not exactly a cush squad.
  8. I like Bodway and his defense. That slight physicality is a drama call.
  9. Morillo should have kicked out, nice pass by Bodway. Instead charging by Morillo
  10. Cousins already playing a pretty good game, McM nice feed
  11. McM is playing these games, going through it all to a greater degree than us sitting on our rumps. If he thinks that by the time he is done we will make the tourney, I have to keep the faith.
  12. Forget everything else, that shot from McM was FIRE!
  13. I saw the personal matter from Santos, man I hope this kid can put it together, get healthy (mind and body), and get back on the court.
  14. No one does, but it is a relationship to show the W/L column is not always reflective upon the coach in the face of injury and such barriers. Were you hugged enough? Do you need a hug? You seem eager to be irrational and misinterpret when people speak to suit your own mindset.
  15. He was hired two weeks before signing day his first season. Most kids, including those of top tier talent, had already committed by that point in time. If you want to count the month and a half total he had to scramble sign the guys who had already committed and explore one or two other options be my guest. But that recruiting class was claimed by other schools before he was even hired. He then scrambled to bring in a few of his own guys following the exodus basically to puzzle a team together. You can attribute that class to him but he didn't have a full recruiting season, so reasonable individuals will not.
  16. This is one recruitin season, don't inflate saying two years like he's had that long to craft his team. This coming class will be his second recruiting class He also said that Stan walked into a good roster. Now I didn't watch back then, but by his verbiage he is indicating that Stan walked into a better roster, not recruited one in one class. Seeing as recruiting was rounded up by the time he was hired, two seasons to begin recruiting. I could respect positions with good numbers behind them to support their wild conclusions, but you are just tossing around random numbers.
  17. Not really, that whole, both of COA's years are worse that SH argument is true by a grand total of one game during two of SH's years. One year COA played one more game and racked up one more loss (a team that played without any starters of last years team other than AC at times). The other SH played one more game and racked up one more win. This year has been rough but it's not over so calm your hormones over how the record will end up.
  18. I've not been around for that long, truth be told I just started getting in to college hoops last year. I think that every brand of game has its ups and downs, and personally I love a traditional post up game, play inside out. However, as the game evolves even on the pro level, that changes how kid want to play the game. That's why COA wants to change the manner of play. Both because it is what he is used to, and because that's how the kids coming in want to play. I've been looking and it looks like our hops coaches have all had some time to turn things around, CSH had two seasons before finally winning in his third. Give it time and it will grow, potentially into a dynasty.
  19. ^ I was typing this as it popped up on my screen. Seconded
  20. Gosh, maybe he should have begged players to stay and play here that had no inclination to after their head coach left. Whatever happened to, "If you don't want to play for this team, there is the door,"? Keeping malcontents on the squad sure would have boosted moral, done a lot for the culture of the franchise, and the integrity of the staff. Maybe we should have paid escorts to "convince" them to stay like some schools. Or gotten caught up in some scandal trying to fudge eligibility or grades. Certainly worth a shot right?
  21. But no one will remember COA for the get that decided to go pro. Even though I think it's a huge testament to his efforts recruiting.
