    Wait so people are 'easily offended' but you just created a reason a man would not get hired and then got mad about the made up thing you created? Willie Simmons has had 2 head coaching jobs in 10 years so that idea is not correct.

    I keep reading talking heads say we should consider (or maybe we are considering?) Tom Allen and a bunch of random coordinators. There is no world where those people would be a better fit than CJL. I still feel like it is highly unlikely CJL comes back but god I would be disappointed if we picked some of the others over him.

    That all makes sense but why of all of our staff members did he get this opportunity? If it's just filling a void, why not give it to a former head coach like Chad Morris?

    As long as we can afford +$2 million per year, I think that's the equalizer. The gap definitely feels like it's shrinking though.

    I think there will be some excitement with any hire but it feels like it has to be a big name to solidify the weakened recruiting, fanbase, and donors.

    I guess I assumed people wouldn't have crazy expectations in year 1 but I think I may have overestimated fandom in general

    There are a few articles ranking the P5 HC openings. It made me think of the positives of this HC situation: 1. It's Florida. The recruiting should be easier and more plentiful though that hasn't always been the case. 2. Expectations could not be any lower. A couple of wins in the first season would be considered a huge success. 3. A wide open conference in 2023. No traditional power house teams that will out spend you. And don't forget the IPF and OCS...
