American Athletic Conference Mike Aresco said Thursday the league won’t make any decisions about fall sports for a few weeks, but it has developed plans in case the league has to play fewer football games due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The AAC is willing to play the waiting game before finalizing its schedule, much like the SEC, ACC and Big 12.

How about just freaking play.  Kids get it they will be in shape to beat it.

Playing in the American, the only thing to look forward to is the non-conference schedule.

I don’t know playing Houston, ucf and Memphis ain’t terrible.

I think they should and will play, with the proper precautions, but it’s not just about the “kids” being able to “beat” the virus. We’re still learning about the range of long term effects of the virus, and they aren’t pretty.

Sad  but that is the current reality since the BE collapsed.

Wonder? If there is an abbreviated season if the NCAA will grant another year on scholarship players??  The cancelled conferences I think, have already recvd the nod from the NCAA. Short season..Some of these guys aspire and have NFL potential but wont get to have a full slate of games to show their skills. Cancellation of 3,4,5 games off a schedule = a lot of playing time not realized. NCAA should just do an across the board extra year since 2020 has pretty much been in suk mode start 2021 anew

That is the million dollar question. If I had to take a guess I would say if we play more than 4 then the player is done.
