Please welcome new member “blah blah”

So the last new member’s post was removed because it was obviously a bot. How many of these new people are real? Is there anyway to really tell before they are actually given an account? The vast majority of these “welcome new members” never post so makes me wonder how legitimate they are.

How can you tell they're a bot? And there must not be a way to automatically do it or I'd guess Brad would have that set up.

I have no idea but it is pretty easy to see that have of the additions are not legitimate. I know I’ll get “how can you tell” but I think most would agree it’s dubious at best.

Ucf fan is worse, a bot we can at least power down, not sure how to do this with c fan, or at least legally.
