Darnell Salomon - Burned Redshirt?

Just finished re-watching the game on TV. Anyone else see the long pass from Kean to Salomon on the last drive? The announcers mistakenly called it a pass to Nichols (same #3) initially. I was surprised to see him take the field in garbage time without any injuries to our current group.

I wonder how Taggart plans to use him the rest of the year? I'd hate to see him waste a year of eligibility if his targets are going to be very limited.

Looks like he plans to use him.  He looked decent blocking in the 4th.  Hes physically ready but he needed to run under that ball a little more.

I think he has been in on the kick coverage too.  He played in the first game as well.  Maybe Taggart is using him like he did Dillon last year.  Get him ready so he can take on a bigger role next year.  If he can help now get him in there.  No reason to red shirt him if he can contribute.

At least they didn't call us UCF.  

They did keep saying they were playing in south Florida.  Guess they didn't get the memo that USF is not actually in south Florida...lol

How about the touchdown or "Rice".   That was funny he then corrected saying his whol name Darius Tice.To their defense there are a lot of double numbers and we know the players well and they dont.

I imagine he'll be someone who starts getting more reps as the season progresses. They never intended to redshirt him, he's too talented to just tuck away and not use.
