The updated color scheme is grea! This would look great on that OCS, as well.
The IPF, Track and Field, and Soccer stadiums look much improved.
Once the water tower is done... USF will look fresh.

Not eventually. If Golesh is a disaster, MK will be a goner and someone else will be trying to find that elusive winning football coach .
Is Brian Gregory the 'best' hire from MK so far?
And what I mean, in terms of wins (since there was a no-name basketball post-season championship) from HIS picked hires? -
When do we get to see renderings?
I am impatient.
-
Why are we still debating the need for an OCS?
USF has to invest AND win... SDSU, UCF, Cincy, and Houston demonstrated this.
The disparity will only grow every year that we are on the outside.

So is the source credible or is it just some guy throwing feces at the wall hoping it sticks?
Not a credible source

What does the future of realignment look like in college football?
What could be the next domino to fall in realignment? Our reporters discuss...While the honorable mentions for USF are not bad (as they aren't as negative as I would have expected).
It seems that Memphis is currently in a good position.
If we win on the field (especially in this new conference alignment) - and build that OCS. We could be in a good position.

New Coach for football, new coach for basketball, new OCS. Feels like a new beginning. At least now we can hope again.
And new conference (sort of)... let's run the table

I mean lets be honest, the Big Ten is set to have USC and UCLA. Traditional regional conferences are probably out of the question.
Let's do it!
Memphis, SMU, USF, and Boise to the Pac 12.
The AAC and the Pac 12 will merge into one to compete against the B10 and SEC (when they merge to form a super conference). The Big 12? Hopefully they turn into the new Big East.

Does "commence a national search" mean hiring a search firm? Certainly hope not as we don't need to pay anyone big bucks to entertain the obvious candidates as already identified on this board. We'll need to use those funds to pay off all the past coaches we've had to relieve of their duties.
Are we poaching Dusty May?

He's gone!
Who do look for next!? Dusty May?

Taggart was great for us. His only knock was that it took too much time to get things rolling. We were awful for two seasons, including the loss against Mc Neese State. I understand that Holtz didn't leave much for him to work with, but there was no excuse for how bad we were in his first two years. However he was a great recruiter, and when he was able to get things going we had some of the best years at USF. Overall he was a great hire.
He was a great hire (that took some rebuilding). However, like our short tradition - the next hire wasn't able to follow through.
In hindsight, hiring Strong after his Texas performance was bad move.

If the Pac 12 loses the 4 corners schools, should we try to get into the Pac 12, or would it be too far gone as a conference.
Hopefully the Pac 12 and the ACC merge... FSU goes to the SEC and Miami begrudgingly becomes our new rivals.
(Also, UCF turns into Rutgers in the Big 12).

I foresee this scenario playing out. Good things come with time. FSU & Clemson are about to be SEC bound
Financially, moving Clemson and FSU to the SEC would be a smart move (would the Gators block them?).
Also, Miami - if left behind - will be somewhat like us. Coincidence that they don't have an OCS? lol j/k.
-
Unless CBG has some great recruits coming in for next season...
If you look at his OVERALL record; his performance shouldn't come as a surprise.
Let's move on... Pitino available? Let's not hire another Orlando Antigua.

I am sure there are much more teams with an ocs in power than then no ocs in power 5. Let's also compare wins, top 25 wins, championships, bowl wins, and ny6 bowl wins as well.
Spot on! USF has shown a lack of investment in their biggest revenue producer (over the past 15 years).
(To the Admin) - Be invested; Expect success; and please stop rewarding mediocrity (e.g. giving extensions too soon). They kicked the OCS/IPF can down the road for a very long time (until UCF gets an invite to the Big 12).

To be technical usf us the bottom of fbs football and the aac did have a ny6 bowl win last year again. So it is a slam at usf and g5 schools. The SEC and Auburn had tradition, money, influence, more talent and multiple national championships than USF and the Aac.
Getting to the NY6 is a must:

USF needs to garner a culture of winning. In an easier conference going forward, there should be no excuse.
If we keep the promise of improving our facilities - I see no reason another P5 conference doesn't come knocking.

Guys, I just want USF to win a conference championship at their new OCS (home field); locking in a bid to the new expanded 12-team playoffs

The way I see it playing out.
Big 12, ACC, and Pac will lose more teams to SEC and Big 10 at some point. It could be next year, or 10 years from now. After that happens Big 12, ACC, and Pac will fight it out among themselves for supremacy to see who becomes the third best conference. They will try to raid each other. I doubt however that any of these conferences will dissolve completely, and when the dust settles if we win we will have a shot at joining the fourth or fifth ranked conference. Whichever conference it is it will look completely different as to how it looks today.
If the Pac 12 can't secure a good media contract; the Big 10 and the Big 12 will absolutely raid them.

Important OCS Update

This is good... let UCF continue to make cheap mistakes on their football amenities.
I am just hoping that our plans come to fruition correctly.
