Why because he was WR at another school? It would be safe to say that no QB on the current USF roster could even make the team at Nebraska. Eveld has done nothing but regress since his 2010 game against Miami, and I don't know what he did (or didn't do) to lose his spot to Matt Floyd. Brion is similar to BJ Daniels. And whatever deficiencies he has with his arm, he can make up for with his legs. Our other QBs can't say that. And Brion gets us more than 28 total points in our last four games. He probably equals or surpasses that total in the Miami game alone.

Brion is miles ahead of the QBs we have now. Yes, he can take snaps under center. He was in a pro style offense for his first three years of high school, then the team went to the spread his senior year. If his consistency and accuracy has improved over the last three years, then we should definitely offer him. He also made plays as a 16-year-old that none of our QBs would/could make at any point of their lives.

Not sure what this means? The Manatee coaches believe DeMarcus Christmas will be a 5-star DT next year. It would be awesome if he changes his mind from FSU to USF!

Derrick can play! Three-year varsity guy on Manatee, and his best performance was probably the 2011 State Championship. He shows up in big games, and hopefully it carries over to USF.

I'm just hoping for a pro-style DEFENSE - one in which we actually cover the opposition's players, tackle the ball carrier, and force turnovers. I like the spread offense better and think it suits our skill players, but if Matt Floyd is going to be our QB, we would be better off lining up under center and handing the ball off. -

Willie would be a great hire. He's turned WKU into a bowl team and conference championship contender. They were and FCS/0-win FBS team just a few years ago. As for recruiting, USF would have have a much better chance landing guys like Ace Sanders (South Carolina WR), Brian Poole (UF CB), Cord Sandberg (4-Star Mississippi State Commit QB), Johnathan Dowling (WKU CB, former UF/top 10 prospect), Quenton Bundrage (ISU WR), Derrick Calloway (4-Star 2012 DT), Demarcus Christmas (Projected 4/5-Star 2013 FSU Commit DT), and maybe even Trey Burton (UF ATH). And Brion Carnes (Nebraska QB who committed to USF in his SO/JR year of HS only to have Skip take it away) would make our current QB situation look a lot better.
