Leavitt also is ten times the coach of this slappy and his assistants would run circles around these clowns. What Leavitt recruit was invited, much less won MVP at this truly prestigious competition? Do some research. Ok Elite 11.... when did that mean anything. Selvie only other offer Del State, Snake only 2 star no one know who he was, Sampson who, most people thought and list goes on and on of guys who were brought in during the Leavitt years that did not make some book worms list on rivals or scout. You guys are on this board are mouth breathers that have no true vaule on the actual process of building a program. Skip was givent he keys to palace and he lost them on his way to his Daddy's house. Leavitt might not have won a title but at least we competed for it. OOO right did he not lead us to bowl games year after year which in the end the post season in the goal number 1. Just except the fact Leavitt is a better coach then Skip and USF missed on the replacement hire. I kind of like this guy. Skip SHOULD be out recruiting what Leavitt did in his time here. We're a BCS program that Leavitt got some national exposure for. Easier to recruit to that than a no-name upstart. I have said the same thing on the other players... Leavitt DEVELOPED some talent. Aside from just getting better because they play every day, who on this team has improved vastly under Holtz and staff? No one. Absolutely no one. That is a huge issue. You're not going to recruit 25-30 game-ready guys every year, you have to develop the guys you have if you want to be successful. Leavitt and mostly his staff did a great job developing talent. Now as a head coach Skip is the manager of this program and his staff and the staff is not living up to those how came before it in all aspects. We as fans really do not get a full understanding what is going on in the coaches office and how this staff is working together so it could be many things that are holding this group back from getting the job done. I am not taking a shot at these coaches in the aspect of their ability to coach but I do believe just because you know Xs and Os you do not know how manage "USF kids". By "USF Kids" are mostly kids with great upside but less then prefect tech and mental mindsets. In the end we got what you asked for a good guy coach that has no edge to him.

Why not Rick Kravitz?!? Coach K is working High School right now a would be a easy pick up. It would also be a plus to have someone that was here when things were rolling.

Good point but also I fell that problem lies with the image of the conference. It is still viewed as a basketball conference and will be until it is disband (which could be soon). So if that is problem why not change our image, our facilities again, and culture. We need to embrace this program by embracing the local community and striving hard to prove that we want are local guys to stay local. Other schools in our conference are making moves on OUR local kids that could wearing green and gold and they do not even have an offer from USF. If your enemy is living in your backyard you do not just move to new home, you build a bigger fence. I know that ranting is something that we all do on here I am just sick of seeing top teir talent going other places because cheap oooo and awwww that other programs have and we do not. I think that if Skip can turn the corner he might do something special but in the end W's and L's define him and right now he is just not living up to his name.

Mama, I respect you for the reply but we had a chance Calvin Mcgee and Dan McCarney both have better track records then Skip in recruiting Florida plus they are florida guys... I am not skip hater and I think that he is good person but he is just not the right fit for USF. I wish him luck this year but I think that he has not done enough to improve the program on the field. Home many Florida guys does he have on his staff ( Do not count KP, LS, and KF)? When people talk about USF it is the most covented job out there because of the recruiting area and the depth of talent there now. So why are we falling behind? I open that question up for opinion.

ooooooo really when did 24/7 sports become good at judging talent? It is joke that you are settling for that ranking, if you think that your a big boy then act like one. Also after this year is when I am counting anything in the win column for USF that is when all of the coach L guys are gone (or majority).

Just let you know I am a USF 2009 grad and I am not going to follow my team blindly. Also how many of you on here have recruited or worked for a recruiting service ( which I say in disrespect because most of them have never played or coached the game a the elite level)? What is your problem with someone being critical of the program when they have made bad moves. I mean 5-7 gets you new contract but if your in the really world and you do not even go 500. in your work production then you are not getting a raise and might might even get fired. If you want to win then you need to demand better then this.

Dear Pen, USF has fallen behind on the feild and in the recruiting world. We award a man a contract when 1. His only winning season was with Jims guys and two his top recruiting class was Jims class. Mr. Woulard please do me a favor and just resign now because after we struggle to win this year because we will, we will all be pointing the finger at you. We are focusing to hard on out of state recruits and loosing ground on in state prospects. It is really sad to see UCF dominating us , I mean come on UCF!!!!!!!!! We are a joke with this group a the helm and will continue to be as long we allow leadership to pony up money for second rate coaches. And do not say that USF won with two and three star classes. Those are better recruiters and they focused on the unseen talent in FLORIDA!!!!! P.S. If Hargraves was at Alabama, LSU, AND PRETTY MUCH ANY WHERE THAT HAS BEEN TOP 15 TEAM he would have been fired for getting his son to come to that program. Shame just another day to here about to 100 athletes going on other places whent they in walking distance from the USF.
