  2. Friday September 28, 2007...Raymond James Stadium.............The college game feel doesn't get any better than that!! WRONG!! Go to an FSUvsUF game in Tally or Gainesville, go to a FSU vs UM game in Tally. The atmosphere is OK at Ray Jay, I had a blast tailgating in the BB lot this past season, but to say that the night of the WVU game doesn't get any better is just flat out wrong. You're entitled to your opinon, as I am mine...but it seems your heart is is in Tally.
  3. I heard that the reason the practice fields were kept under wraps, was to prevent the wild haired one's antics from being seen by the public.
  4. The classy thing to do would be forget it, Manti Te'o doesn't have anything to do with ND basketball.
  5. Was that stadium on a campus?? You have to be kidding! Was it because of the pictures of the players?? ..... Because that's basically what separates that from a video that could be taken at RayJay. Weren't there pics of Bull's players hanging on the west side of the RJ?
  6. +1. Excellent point. How do bleachers make more noise then stadium chairs??
  7. While they haven't had much on-field success, Schnellenberger did a good job of cultivating local support from the program's inception. Their coaching staff didn't have to work out of trailers like ours did for eight years. And, don't forget, it's in Boca Raton...lots of $$$ there. Most of the money (44.6 million) is being financed. The university kicked in $20 million from non-academic sources, such as concessions and parking revenue.
  8. Was that stadium on a campus?? You have to be kidding!
  9. How is that much different than the game day experience at the Ray-J? Avg Attendance 2012: Florida Atlantic - 13,459; USF - 44,130
  10. Cost is a major factor....Up north the footings for homes need to be below the frostline, so digging the extra few feet for a basement is a cost effective way to provide storage and living space....not so in Florida. There are homes in Florida with basements.
  11. Friday September 28, 2007...Raymond James Stadium.............The college game feel doesn't get any better than that!!
  12. IMHO...the Bulls will never play a game in an OCS located on the current USF campus.
  13. Looking at Ticketmaster.....it appears that the ND game is very close to being sold out, so Gasparilla won't be cutting into ticket revenue.
  14. There are 2 games at the Dome that day. MBB vs ND @ noon, and WBB vs Marquette @ 6 pm. Go Bulls!!
  15. So, you would consider a recently unemployed Bank CEO who took a head teller's job in a major international bank to be going "forward in his career"???
  16. How many NFL linebacker coaches have needed 30 years experience to get their job? How many CEOs (BCS Head Football Coach) would consider taking a supervisor's job (NFL Position Coach) going somewhere?
  17. FAIL! Your corroborating coach's source wasn't USF. Grow up... Greg didn't write the story... the Home Team guys did. They're the ones that didn't check their sources or verify with USF what the actual story was. They can't verify with USF, can they? What was the changed status if it wasn't he was no longer guaranteed a schollie? Again, verify with who? USF can't comment on recruits by name to the media, right? If this was just a miscommunication problem, you'd think they would have cleared it up with Depue who in turn would have cleared it up with the media ... and that could still happen. You would hope the Home Team are still asking questions. The can (and reportedly have) answer the question ....Are you going to honor all offers extended to recruits by Skip Holtz.? USF to honor Rafferty's scholarship offer By JOEY JOHNSTON | The Tampa Tribune Published: January 16, 2013 Updated: January 16, 2013 - 4:35 PM TAMPA -- The University of South Florida will honor all football scholarship offers made to prospects who had verbally committed to former coach Skip Holtz, USF spokesman Jeremy Sharpe said Wednesday. http://www2.tbo.com/sports/breaking-news/2013/jan/16/1/usf-to-honor-raffertys-scholarship-offer-ar-608485/
  18. FAIL! Your corroborating coach's source wasn't USF. Grow up... Greg didn't write the story... the Home Team guys did. They're the ones that didn't check their sources or verify with USF what the actual story was. They took the word of a High School coach and parents who were upset at the changed status of their son. If they'd taken a moment to verify before they ran the story then maybe none of this would have ever happened. He posted it on his blog. and he's the one who tried to defend it above...FAIL! JANUARY 14, 2013 USF pulls offer from commitment Rafferty The Times' Joey Knight has a story on USF pulling a scholarship offer from commitment Connor Rafferty, an offensive lineman from Tampa's Robinson High. Posted by Greg Auman at 12:05:05 pm on January 14, 2013 in http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/content/usf-pulls-offer-commitment-rafferty#comments

  20. Don't bother...the fish I wrap with it really don't care!
  21. That could be what happened. In that case, CWT has no knowledge of USF football history. The O Line has to be one of the worse hit units when it comes to injuries in the past. I know I'd want as many deep as possible. And ...what was your last coaching job?
  22. Eastern Kentucky has a football team? They must play Western Carolina. Not sure how someone will be fine after being offered by a mid major school and ending up at BFE. Water seeks it's own level...Rafferty may just have found his! --------------------------------------- Are you always a jerk or just on Mondays? I'm sure he'll get other offers now that he is no longer a USF commit. Obviously you aren't an athlete yourself or you would have a better idea how this works. Sure! all the big programs didn't offer because Holtz did!
  23. Ivy leagues doesn't offer student scholarships for athletics. Ivy league prohibits athletic scholarships. However they do give "Grants-in-Aid". Yes they do. But he is competing for everyone that qualifies for admission. No, he is not. There is a minimum level they must qualify to get into the school. Then the athletic program gets them academic scholarship money. Cool thing for the student is that because it is academic as long as they keep their grades up they keep the scholly even if they stop playing for the team. But they get the offer initially because they are an athlete. I know someone that was offered by an Ivy League school. Yup! Kinda, sorta, but there are no athletic or academic schollies. Ivy coaches are allowed 5 "very minimum qualifiers"
