I don't know about Hurts but Francois is definitely better than Eason as of this moment.

Agree to disagree. Francois never had to go away from his first read in the 2nd half (whoever was isolated on #1), read it, stare it down, throw it. There was at least 6/7 times tonight you could see the guy breaking open on the tv broadcast and he would stare and then throw. I did not see him throw one WR open. Coverage was poor all night. They just simply took advantage when they made him look at one mismatch to start his reads

  2. He looked very composed and poised.  After the first scoring drive of the game, I saw him go straight to the OL and congratulate them right away. Seems to have a good grasp of the offense and doesn't lack confidence. Very good sign for the future of this team. I could legitimately see AW switch positions by next season

Don't recall seeing the misters on our sideline, but Towson had theirs full blast. Bet our guys didn't hydrate properly either. That frustrates me like no other.

Same here. Id be surprised, and upset if Taggart isn't pounding that into their heads all week

  4. I went back and watched the game with an emphasis on QF, the RT spot and both DE positions.

QF- The general consensus of grading QF  below avg based upon hopeful improvement from last year is understandable. While it didn't seem he was leaps and bounds better than last year, he wasn't nearly as bad as the stat line seems. The 3rd down pass that missed Kano badly on a seam/pop pass, looked to be on KD. It was a hot read, and Kano didn't bend the route like QF expected. Taggart talked to him right after the play and you could see him telling him to replace the LB by bending it back inside.

RT- Norman looked much better than Atterbury and as someone noted on here, Eric Mayes looked very solid. Atterbury was often knocked off balance and was vulnerable to the pull/push move after engaging. Norman also showed more athelticism getting to the second level in the run game which is essential for this team to break off big runs. Atterbury looked closer to an OG than a LT of the future.

DE- First things first. They were absolutely in a contain type look, not trying to get too far upfield and leave running lanes open for their QB.  Livingstone looked solid, he was getting a push and showed an at least average ability to rush the passer. Very stout in the run game which will be important. Vincent Jackson looked "ok", he flashed some athleticism but didnt show any real ability to shed the blocker after engagement when asked to. On the play that Nigel destroyed the QB on a delayed blitz, LaDarrius Jackson actually dropped in coverage and did a really solid job. Overall they rotated an absolute ton, including the first two drives having 2 different sets of ends. I don't think we will have one absolute monster pass rusher, but overall we should be able to move the QB off the spot fairly often with the talent at DT as well as our blitz packages

Take your time, @Marlon_Mack2. Be safe. Don't rush back. Your boys got you. And you've got a pro career to worry about.

It's about more than his football career.  For a guy who rips anyone without his liberal view, he whiffs on this one.

Am I the only one that get annoyed by Collin?

He was dead on until the "pro career" comment. Thats just ridiculous

I see your point but no. Not going to put QF in position to be tackled having little chance to slide.

In all fairness, it's not like he would be running between the tackles. On the jet sweep they get to the edge and he has the option to get out of bounds. It's actually much less dangerous than the veer option you see QF running up the middle and generally declining the option to slide a majority of the time lol

  7. To be clear, this is not a QF hate post whatsoever. This was a thought before last night, dependent on how Kean looked back there.

I wonder if they have experimented using Flowers in the slot with Kean in the shotgun, bringing QF in motion and getting him involved in that capacity. Run Jet Sweep like we do with Adams. This also gives us the ability to get Adams/VS outside and if one of the safeties bite, take a shot. Maybe 2-5 times a game. Just a thought

  8. Which side (South or North) usually has the best tailgate? Im sure it varies by lot, but just looking for some guidance on which side you would recommend parking in atmosphere wise. Also, how is the Bull Zone tailgate? I just received and email saying they will have live music for the home opener.
