Well, here are the match-ups for teams #20 to 25 in the current AP Poll:
20 LSU 1-1 391 1 vs Jacksonville State W 34-13 9/17 vs Mississippi State 21 Baylor 2-0 305 2 vs SMU W 40-13 9/16 @ Rice 22 Oregon 2-0 292 2 vs Virginia W 44-26 9/17 @ Nebraska 23 Florida 2-0 205 — vs Kentucky W 45-7 9/17 vs North Texas 24 Arkansas 2-0 198 — @ #15 TCU W 41-38 9/17 vs Texas State 25 Miami 2-0 197 — vs Florida Atlantic W 38-10 9/17 @ Appalachian State Aside from Miami, and maybe Oregon, not much of a chance for a loss among those teams. Then we would have to pass every other team ranked ahead of us that is also receiving votes:
Utah 62, TCU 62, San Diego State 51, UCLA 47, Boise State 42, Pittsburgh 39, Oklahoma State 22, Nebraska 11, North Carolina 10, Auburn 7, Central Michigan 4, Colorado 2, Arizona State 1, Cincinnati 1
Cincy plays Houston and SDSU plays NIU. Nebraska plays Oregon, so one of those two will be ranked. I'm too lazy to look up the rest, but I just don't see us jumping 14 teams, even with an impressive win over Cuse.
As for the coaches poll, we would have to leap over 10 teams....again, even with a 50-20 type of game against Syracuse, I just don't see it happening. We are going to have to beat FSU to get in to "the club".
The fact that cincy even has 1 vote while we don't is downright hilarious

You can get a 3 game flex plan for $129 with fsu in the lower bowl. If you're a fsu fan / only go to one game, then cough it up.

Sadly I think FSU will get exposed against Louisville, taking away a lot of hype and emotion going into our game.
**** you ACC scheduling.
Edit: wow the word "****" gets censored?? Makes it seem much worse with four *'s IMO.
Ehh I thought that until I watched Louisville further. Not many times to you pick against the team because of a game they have 900 yards lol. Their WR are pretty bad, especially when contested. Syracuse was letting them run wild, but they dropped quite a few passes that were gimmes. Fsu will be all over those guys. Overall it should still be a great game because of LJ

There's no chance it will be 70/30 noles. As it was mentioned, a lot of people in the community bought the 3 game pack and didn't include Towson or northern Illinois (FSU, UCF, Uconn/ECU/Navy). I fully expect it to be at least 50/50

Man those would be 2 huge losses

I would imagine so...curious what's the injury. Who steps up in his place as a DB?
Well he was behind Jaymon, but I'd imagine one of Godwin/Ferguson slide over to Rover for depth. Godwin would be my guess

That sucks, he played really well in the opener

I notice Taggart generally meets with the media after practice, and obviously after games. How do you guys listen to those? I've searched on Gousfbulls.com and even logo for searched but I can't find them anywhere.

I truly think the negative media bias locally has a strong correlation with the reputation surrounding USF sports. Obviously the results have a more profound effect, but you would think we were a P5 school the way we are scrutinized. We are in the 20th season of having a football program for goodness sake. There should be a constant buzz of excitement for the potential not only in the short term, but long run around town. I feel like USF athletics is fighting an uphill battle posting all the positives and encouraging material on social networks, only to be overshadowed by the negative press our own deadbeat writers spew around. This community is influenced by what the media says, especially because we don't have the long term/die hard fans yet. Just look at the perception locally for USF vs schools like BYU, Utah, SDSU. App State etc get in their local communities.

That number also includes UCF having 26K give or take at the game vs USF. Actual attendance was more so around 12K

Even if he's good to go, I'd like to see Tice/DJ start and Mack can be used sparingly if necessary. I could almost see it being as if the roles were reversed. Tice is the bell cow with DJ being the 3rd down back and Mack coming in to give a breather to both backs (3-5 carries)

Based solely on this response, I'm sure people say that about you too.
Basing any opinion on a person upon one response is idiotic in itself, nonetheless factoring in his 1/2 rankings. Anyone who knows college football knows that doesn't deserve a vote. Whether it's Joey Knoght, or Condoleezaa Rice

If the kids like them, they need some advice.
I liked them, shoot me some advice. Far from our worst uniforms (I'm looking at you oversized logo on the helmet).

Relax people...it will all play itself out.
Can we just for once lay of Joey? People think he's anti-USF, when the reality is that more people are just anti-Joey. For Effs sake.
Joey Knight is an idiot. That goes without saying

Yeah I noticed he was on the field that last drive. They actually had him in the slot which was rather surprising

How much should UNC get punished losing a close one, basically on the road, to your #11 UGA? They should be somewhere in your top 25-30.
They should be punished far less than LSU IMO. They played rather well

SDSU has won like 10+ straight dude, are you serious? If you can't name a couple players off the top of your head from their team, then please don't just judge them from the school name. They are probably more deserving of a ranking than half the teams on here
Please don't lecture me with the small school bias stuff. I'm well aware of SDSU. Their 11 win streak only has 1 notable win last year which was Cincy... and they were pretty terrible at the end of the year. That streak started after a 3 game losing streak which included losses against Penn state and South Alabama (yeah). With that being said, their defense is legit, and Pumphrey is all you can ask for as a main back. The Chapman kid can play but I'm not sold on them as a top 25 team whatsoever. They are far from being better than Notre Dame, UM, UCLA, UF, Tennesee, UNC or even LSU. That goes for 22-24 on your list as well.

I like it when people hear what I have to say. So I'll post it on this thread too. Also, I wish I could up vote my own posts. But anyway, as someone who watched as much college ball as you could this weekend, here are my rankings
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. FSU
4. Ohio St
5. Michigan
6. Houston
7. Stanford
8. Washington
9. Louisville
10. Wisconsin
11. Georgia
12. Michigan St.
13. Iowa
14. Texas A&M
15. Oklahoma St
16. Oklahoma
17. TCU
18. Baylor
19. Ole Miss
20. Oregon
21. Texas
22. Boise St.
23. BYU
24. Utah
25. San Diego St
Notable teams left out: Notre Dame 26, LSU 27, Tennessee 28, Florida 29, USF 30
I can't get behind Stanford being in the top 10 and SDSU above Notre Dame. TCU also isn't a top 25 team

Completely agree. But, I felt that way before Mack got hurt. Fullwood is our best PR, and I think Barr and McCants can be dynamic return men. That said, CWT likely takes comfort in ball security with the vets. That said, I see no way CWT has DJ returning any kicks.
Good call on McCants, him and Barr would be plenty dynamic back there
