  2. i will root for them to hold their own ooc to help establish the league but never to pull off HUGE upsets like we have.
  3. classes closed tomorrow.. tropical storm party time
  4. the TRUTH of the matter and we all know this but sometimes refuse to acknowledge it within ourselves is that atheism is born out of a resentment or bitterness toward events in our lives, just as theism is born out of a personal manifestation of a Greater love and grace that doesnt fit in our scope of life and therefore can only be attributed to a greater source.
  5. you can tell a lot about the character of someone by what they feel is important. prestige, image, fame and so on... Its no surprise that the priorities of a program like usc are often reflected in the level of character of people the program brings in (kiffin and so on). On the contrary watching today interviews on our guys , george baker thanking the "man above", ernite tabuteaus humility and how blessed he feels in his journey as a walkon, kayvon and montgomery talking about togetherness and sacrificing personal merit for the good of the team, i can honestly say i am truly proud to be a fan of not only a program i love, but a program made up of outstandng men of character. having played sports my whole life i know the TRUE wealth of a program transcends much more than a fancy locker room or athletic facility, it is found in the minds and hearts of each and every player on that team.
  6. Thank you!!!! OMG ! What are Michigan fans looking at? I don't know what they're looking at but they'll be in for a rude awakening if they're counting on him to take over after denard robinson. The kid only relies on his strong arm against slow hs defenses, never goes through his progressions, shoddy accuracy when he's not bulleting the ball, not too mention big headed syndrome. But hey I'm no expert.
  7. What round do you see those guys going if they have good sr seasons
  8. pmed you a quick question about the team roster choosing. thx!
  9. dont think ever got an email. know im last on the list though
  10. personally, if the NBC deal goes through I think our conference will be in TREMENDOUS shape with the national exposure and exclusivity on the network. On average we will have more airtime than almost any other conference, and that goes a looong way. But to me the real kicker is teams like Syracuse and Pitt who jumped ship will be forever mediocre buried in the ranks at a conference that will be the bottom of ESPN once we've left. and even WORSE, the big 12 will have competing OU Texas TCU WVU to establish some devastating parity, which will look like weakness as the teams just beat up on each other like the big east has so long been accused of doing. I would say with Boise coming on, Louisville on the rise, and if USF finally steps up the plate we have a real chance at being the Face of this conference. A conference that has a legitimate chance to rise up. Our record ooc is already better than the ACCs and with the addition of Boise and Houston things really could start to look up. Just my two cents
  11. I love how people on here keep talking about how boards and that sort of thing don't affect recruits. Why do you think that even PLAYERS like BJ and many others who say they don't have twitters or Facebook, or pay attn to the media, and EVEN COACHES like SKIP who say they try to avoid paying attention to what others say????? It's because it gets to them, one way or another, for better or for worse! So if those Things affect players and coaches, of course things like this board will impact recruits. Mr. woulard is right. We're all human at the end of the day, some folks on here seem to forget that.
  12. Isaac virgins departure really surprised me...
  13. http://www2.tbo.com/sports/usf-bulls/2012/aug/06/1/spsporto2-bulls-more-than-ready-to-start-ar-454537/ Published: August 06, 2012 Updated: August 06, 2012 - 1:00 AM Home / sports / college / USF Bulls notes: Training camp opens By MICHAEL MANGANELLO After an offseason that felt far too long to coach Skip Holtz, the University of South Florida football team officially begins its new season today with the opening of training camp on campus. Coming off a 5-7 season (1-6 in the Big East) and missing a bowl game for the first time in seven years, Holtz said the excitement level of starting anew is high. "Right now, there's a lot of energy in this building," he said. "Walking through, there are a lot of players reporting. Seeing the smiles on everybody's faces, there's just a lot of excitement and a lot of energy among this team. I know everybody has been waiting for this for a long time. … I was ready to start this season on Dec. 8 of last year." Practice officially opens today and continues on campus through Tuesday before the Bulls head to Vero Beach on Wednesday to begin an 11-day stay there. The first preseason scrimmage will be a week from today with another Aug. 18. The Bulls will return to campus following that scrimmage and hold their annual Fan Fest and practice on Raymond James Stadium on Aug. 19. Now a senior, QB B.J. Daniels echoed Holtz's sentiment that the team is excited to get underway. "We're excited," he said. "We're really ready to go. Seeing all the guys' faces puts a smile on my face." Roster shuffling Seven new walk-ons will join the program today, having not been with the team in either spring practice or summer workouts. Those players will help to offset the loss of six former scholarship players who are not returning. OL John McGhin graduated Saturday and is no longer with the team. Also gone are DBs Ricardo Dixon, Spencer Boyd and Jarvis McCall, WR Stephen Bravo-Brown and TE Isaac Virgin. McCall will return to the team next spring after family issues arose this summer, according to Holtz. Former walk-on WR Jordan Duval remains suspended and is not with the team following his arrest for an on-campus theft in July. Bulls bits Holtz said the team only has two injuries as it opens camp with both stemming from spring practice. DT Cory Grissom (ankle) and DE Anthony Hill (ACL) are both recovering on schedule and could be able to return for the season opener and midseason, respectively. … Though coach Vernon Hargreaves remains responsible for the majority of special teams, Holtz said he's given the other coaches more special teams responsibilities than ever before.
