Didnt look like any of them quit out there. Even after shields botched the kickoff with a min left they still pulled a 3 and out.

We are DEEP at TE. The coaches have all RAVED about Price bein a stud. Our rbs are ok never said they were amazing, said "dependable" and the reality is BJs ceiling limits our entire offensive playbook. Doesnt matter what the coaches wanna call if BJ cant execute it.

Under what premise do you assume that? Under the premise that he outperformed every other qb in the elite 11? Under the premise that he will be walking into a position where the job is up for grabs?

Ya but the only reason he got Floyd was because he had like 2 and a half months to recruit before signing day And then the next year Tyler Cameron shafted the team, so that was tough. Its been far from easy for him on a qb standpoint

Ya what Holtz inherited didnt help much either. A redshirt qb who plays on pure atheticism. No viable backup qb options. The one mistake he made was tryin to make BJ a pocket passer, puttin a square peg in a round hole.

I dont think our defense has ever been as good as since Wally Burnham left. Weve had good defenses, but not amazing. I really do hope that by some miracle Asiantii Woulard decides to graduate early and come and lead this team.

Unfortunately our team is limited by our QB play. We have great WRs, an oline who will be playing together for at least another few years, Stud TEs, and dependable RBs. Our defense has also been stout through the years. THE ONE THING WE NEED IS A TRUE QB. Asiantii how soon can you suit up?!?

This guy is right on. Just change our names back to C-USA because that's pretty much what happened. The dust has settled and the Big East got the **** end of the stick. I agree with you that it ruined our TV contract leverage... but disagree that the loss of ND ruined the conference... the conference has been ruined since it refused to get rid of the basketball schools back when Miami, VT, and BC asked them to. Since then the conference has chosen to remain some bipolar conference which is not attractive to football schools. It ultimately comes down to conference relevance. Without an abundance of big named schools and only a few football teams considered competitive, it really has taken a toll on the original BE schools in the conference. It's a shame really and I would suspect we drop out of the auto BCS bid in the next few seasons. There is no auto BCS bid starting in 2014 ... CHA CHING!!!

As far as stars go, AW himself was an unknown 2 3 star recruit a year ago. Few months ago he beat out top qb competition in the country. The reality is the stars are just a "guide", a biased one at that. And honestly the fact that holtz and co have been in touch with a guy like AW before he was even recognized shows me that the guys they bring in are studs, diamonds in the rough. with that said, regardless of how many stars woulard is, can't wait to see him suit up in green and gold.

First off all you have to realize is that this is ESPNs last ditch effort to keep all college football on their network, and to keep the monopoly going. Now knowing that, it's kinda SAD that this is the best they can do before we negotiate a new deal. I mean come on, ND was never a big east football member, yet everyone here is acting like that's what we lost. Saying oh man the world is ending bla bla bla... all we lost was a DECENT basketball school, that's it. ESPN however is trying to sensationalize it into something it's not, and congratulations thus far we've all drank the kool aid. so relax, if anything this would HELP us tremendously if nd was no longer with NBC, we'd truly then be the only game in play. Now let's beat those scarlet snookies!!
