  1. It’s going to be awesome.
You guys saying we’re overpaying don’t appreciate the inflation that has occurred in the last decade.
And you can’t see the inside.
Some of the tenders also show A LOT of chair backs seats, most of the sideline seats in fact.

This will be much more than just metal bleachers.

And the way it’s split level with the second level overhung to be closer to the field is unique for a stadium of this smaller size. That’s going to give it a very close to the field feel, for both the fans, and the players and coaches.

  2. Based on the numbers, no one is jumping from the ACC to big12.

    BUT

If FSU and maybe others jump to the SEC or the Big 10, do the ACC numbers fall to below the big 12 numbers?

What will be left in the ACC probably won’t add much value to the Big12 to make it worthwhile for the big12 anyway. These big12 homers on x-twitter are deluded.

The ACC will snap up some American conference schools and call It a day if they lose members. Just like they snapped up the PAC schools.

The eastern Big 12 schools would love the ACC but only if it stays as is, which doesn't seem likely as FSU keeps whining so publicly. I think it'll take a lot more things aligning for the ACC to collapse like the PAC did. They have a much better chance for survival. But just like with the PAC, I can't see actual movement from the Big 12 to the ACC because the top schools that make it better than the Big 12 are trying to get out. And everyone knows it.

The ACC won’t collapse in the way the pac did because they will still have a conference of the PAC and ACC leftovers. This will still be above the American or Midwest conference, but maybe lower than Big12 in media rights, but much better academically. I’d expect the ACC to still have the same access to the playoff the Big12 has.

At the end of the day, the big12 and the ACC will both be conferences for the schools who didn’t have enough viewers or right media market to get invited to the SEC or Big10.

Right because the Big 12 is full of bangers after Texas and OU left.

It’s a coping mechanism since really the only remaining members are second choice back up schools.

USF’s academics is making us a first choice more and more.

For academics, the lowest ranking member of the ACC would be the highest ranking member of the big12.

However, the PAC dissolution proves academics don’t really matter with football media realignment. But the big12 fans have this chip on their shoulder mentality from being rejected by their first choice schools that are in the other conferences.

  5. The big 12 guys think they’ll poach ACC schools, but I honestly don’t see it.

I also think FSU is going to have to pay big time to exit the ACC.

For USF, I’d like to see us step up a conference and resume an annual game with UCF. That game gets ratings, ratings = money.

I think USF will eventually end up in the ACC or ACC leftovers, Big 12, or even by some rumored even the Big 10.

We have a lot going for us, and a growing alumni base, and rising academic standings. We’re in a large city that turns out for winners.

USF one of the largest public universities not in a power conference.

USF ratings and game attendance would skyrocket if we stepped up in conference.

can someone explain what "conference" OSU/WSU are playing in this year? Will they be playoff eligible?

Edit = so from what I can tell they are 2 members of the Pac 12 and playing non conference games in partnership with MWC.

I still don't know if they can "win a conference championship" or need to earn autobids... anyone know this?

Pretty sure they won’t be eligible as conference champion. They’re only in is as one of the top ranked teams.

What gets us into a better conference is one single thing: the ability for TV to make money off of our fanbase.

Things like winning, ocs, game attendance, away game fan presence, etc all help in proving that there is ROI for any networks that want to advertise to our fans.

OCS helps grow the fanbase and future TV ratings by increasing the exposure of the student body to football by the proximity of the stadium being on campus.

Anyone against the OCS also required extra time to take tests in school.
