Since we're making assumptions I'm guessing you're the kind of guy who thinks its OK to hit women?
Never stated Q should be guaranteed a spot just as I never stated Mixon didn't deserve one.
I did state "ain't that the way of the world" which is a phrase commonly used to describe things that are not right, but that are reality nonetheless.
I am the kind of guy who thinks its never OK to hit anyone.
It was pretty clear what your post meant. You dont think its right that talent in a field creates a privilege that others are not afforded. Big communist guy too huh?

I think it could happen in 2022. We beat Texas at home and UF and Louisville on the road while running the AAC table. There's some legitimacy in that argument
So if the college football landscape doesnt change, by the time my kid graduates elementary school we MIGHT have a shot at the playoffs.

Michael Kelly is on record as saying if we run the table next year we better be in the playoffs or some people will have some explaining to do. No offense, but I think he's just a tad bit more knowledgeable in this area than you, I, or anybody else on this board.
Oh the AD of the school who would hypothetically go undefeated thinks they would be in... so it must be true?
The explanation would be pretty simple in this hypotehtical... "USF plays in the American, their SOS was in the 70's, they didn't face the weekly tests as (Insert SEC/Big 10/ACC 1-loss team here)".
Lets hope we run the table and pull this up in 18 months. I would GLADLY eat crow.

Agreed. But a solid, smart football player with outstanding running skills and speed? Yeah, I'd give that guy a shot.
He is getting a shot because all of those aspects. Trust me I love Q, I can dig up the post where I compared him favorably to Matt Grothe after 3 or 4 starts. My line was more in reference to a previous post that implied Mixon shouldnt be there because of his bad behavior and Q should because of his good.
I will say this, I saw a stat that there are more undrafted NFL players on rosters than there are drafted in rounds 1 and 2. Granted the pool of the UFA is much bigger, but the fact that the "experts" are that far off on talent is pretty eye opening. (Found the link as I was typing)
Good news for Q in the future.

I was not aware of his back story and only included the link so others like me could read what you were referring to-- don't take it like I am attacking you-- it is simply a link to the information.
Fair enough. Didnt think of it attack. I thought Mixon's history was well known. I know a lot of people draw a hard line in the sand on these issues (understandably) and figured that was the reason for the link.

Liverpool did look great for 60 minutes. Managed to steal all three late.
US stud Pusilic helped BVB salvage three points.
Surprised Red Star held Napoli, but just goes to show how tough that stadium is to play in.
As an Everton supporter I don't really care..

Any USF fan rooting against UCF this year is rooting against USF.
An undefeated UCF team will be #12 maybe #10 in the nation by the time they face us... if USF is also undefeated, and thereby ranked around #18 maybe as high as #15 ... a USF win would put USF into that #12 to #10 position... leapfrogging what is sure to be a 1-loss Boise State team... and putting USF into position for the NY6 bowl.
UCF losing before then means USF might not even make a NY6 bowl because Boise State will vary likely remain ahead of USF.
Although it goes against our judgement... Root. For. The. Knights. This. Season.Lot of ifs and hypotheticals in that statement.
I'm looking forward to Lane cucking UCF. Both on the field and in the bedroom with the co-eds.

I am well aware of his history of violence.
Its called privilege. Mixon will be living by a different set of standards because he is one of the best in his field. A tragic backstory isnt enough to hand someone a roster spot.

ain't it just the way of the world that a dude like Mixon can make a squad no problem while a guy like Q has to struggle smdh.
I'm guessing you are the type of guy who judges a porn star based on their personality right?

Cronkite got 20+ carries last week. He is the clear #1 and IMO will be the highest drafted RB to come out of USF.
With the new redshirt rules strategy on playing time will be interesting. I can see guys like Ford being saved for games like Black Friday, Bowl Game, or even a conference championship game if we get there. No need to burn all 4 games in non-conference when you can save them for games where depth may be needed to backfill additional injuries.

I think with a guy like Steve there are two options:
- The Red Wings busted out the knee pads
- He has a heart/medical condition and will be dead by the end of the year
Either way he wont be in Tampa at the start of the next season.

I would have thought after winning a national championship they would no longer need validation from us.

Milton threw three interceptions for the first time since tossing three against Memphis in the AAC title game on Dec. 2.
Why is this worded that way? He has thrown 3 picks in 50% of his last 4 games... thats not good.
Turnover machine.

Everyone likes to lean on the mythical hypothetical 2016 Houston team.
Part of me hopes USF isn't the team that runs the table 2 straight years and ends up getting shafted.
-
Anyone who still thinks USF has a shot at the playoffs in the current system is delusional. HARD STOP
If you want to root for USF to have a legitimate shot at the title, the only path is to get into the P5/Division 0 whatever they decide to call it. Even if the playoffs expand I dont see an autobid going to the G5, more like what we used to see with the BCS.

As others have said I noticed it right away, but thought it was somehow karma for GT even trying to score there. There isn't an 11 point play in football yet, take your medicine and get back to Atlanta.

College Football fantasy gambling is back.
I have loaded up on Cent. Florida players in a match up with 1AA SC State.
I'm looking forward to Milton and Killins tearing their ACLs on a handoff on the 1st play.

Since 2010 (not sure why that’s the ransoms year we go to) we have had 2 losing seasons and 3 seasons with 8 or more wins, if you go back to 2008 (since our coach has been at GT) we have 5 seasons of 8 or more wins. We’ve also had more ACCCG appearances than anyone in our division except for VT. Yes we have some down years, but we’ve still averages 7.9 wins since CPJ has been at GT and that’s with a 3 win and 5 win season. I’d dare to say 7.9 wins over 10 years, on average is better than most football program. So simple math would tell us a .500 team averages 6 wins. And your right, I don’t agree with you, because facts override perception. Btw I’m not one of those varsity guys, if I get it, it’s because I’m not in the area much, but it’s really not that great imo. Do you not like it?
Its not a random year, its this decade. 2010 is a round number. Most people arbitrarily look at these periods and is completely normal to use that as a frame of reference. Your record since then is 56-47, or 8-7 (looks pretty close to .500 to me).
To humor you I will go back a full decade.
75-54 (.581) between 2008-2017 or 7.5-5.4 average record. I will even give you the super benefit of rounding at the most maximized amount you can, 8-5 for the last decade.
Looks overwhelmingly average to me no matter how you cut it, and I stand by my statement its depressing as a fan of USF that this is the new big game on the schedule. This really isn't a knock on GT, it should be a fun game and a W would be better than an L. I just yearn for the days when this program would look at this as just another game (similar to when we would play UNC).

That was last year, if you know anything about GT they can randomly have 2014 type season. We went from 3 wins in 2015 to 9 in 2016. I don’t understand the whole judging a team based on the year before, if you’ve watched football long enough, you know things can change drastically in 1 year. Also GT was a lot better than 5 wins last year. Lost to UT which should have never happened, Miami beat us on the crazy catch, and UVA beat us at the last second which shouldn’t happen. We had real issues closing out games last year.
Right, once every 8 years GT randomly wins 10 games and sneaks into the ACC championship. Since 2010 three losing seasons, one 11 win season, and the rest look something like 7-6. Like I said... a .500 GT team.
Look I'm not saying USF is some historical powerhouse...I'm saying as an upstart we used to play teams like GT 7 times a year in conference, and win big non-conference games vs. Auburn, Notre Dame, FSU, etc...
It's more a self flagellation over being stuck in neutral as a program for 10 years.
EDIT:
Not that I expect you to agree with any of this. You come from a fan base that thinks the Varsity is a good pregame meal. What they served in two girls one cup is more appealing than the **** from Varsity.

I have no doubt our skill positions can handle themselves on both sides of the ball.
I have serious concerns the line will win in the trenches on both sides of the ball.
I also have doubts about CCS ability to coach up in a big game (albeit in a very small sample size). It's sad that a .500 GT team is what we consider a big game now.

Yeah most websites like these have a partnership with something like Google Ads and what you see is generated based on your computers cookies.
You could have been looking up something specific like Gators schedule or recruiting. Or even something generic like college football, and the algorithm found the ad it thought would best get you to click and buy.

Explain how anything I have said makes it sound like I am having a bad day? Such a weak internet message board cop out. You cant debate my point so you try to go the troll route.
You tried to white knight playing the "the big bad guy has a job while the tough luck kid cant get a shot" when that has nothing to do with reality. You then continued to play the internet hero with a statement like "I bet you think its ok to hit women".
Yauch and Berry would be disappointed to see someone using their name in such a weak intellectual way.
