  1. I watched and at the end had these thoughts:

Our guys rose to the occasion after a deflating loss in the AAC tourney and getting screwed in both the NCAA and NIT selections.

For once in my life, I thought the refs did a reasonably good job calling and controlling a pretty chippy game.

It has been a remarkable year.  I am glad it did not end in the WORST possible way.

I don't miss those folks in Otown one bit and I hope we can scrape that UCF stank off our shoe for a while now.

Yeah idk about that. All of this realignment is strictly for money.

Unless I missed Bama leaving for the Ivy League.

lol like bama cares about academics....

New CFP deal was signed this afternoon and the ACC will be getting $1 million more per school than the Big XII.

Will that help the Noles and Tigers to pay to leave, or at least a couple of hours of their attorneys' fees?

In a lawsuit filed Tuesday in South Carolina, Clemson calls the ACC withdrawal penalty "unconscionable" and "unenforceable."

I’m sorry to say, but College sports are dead. When reflecting on my youth, I LOVED college sports more than professional sports because of the rivalries, regional battles, students doing extraordinary things and the fact you could see that a lot of the kids loved their schools and had pride in being apart of that. It was more down to earth and relatable. It has gotten so bad, my kids don’t even watch college sports anymore. It’s sad that we let it get this bad. I say “we” because we the people can refuse to give money and rating to these greedy conferences by not watching. Sorry, but it makes me sad.

Welcome to the CFCC (College Curmudgeon Collective)!  I think it is the natural progression of things.

    How do you explain UAB?

As we have learned from football and now basketball, no matter where they rank in the conference, when it comes time to play the Bulls, Birmingham is Vulcan Awesome!

I’m just upset that I finally thought USF could pull off the conference championship. Now we are stuck with Oviedo. Just a disappointing end.

Not if we beat them by 20.

    Yeah, even then.

But it doesn't wipe out what was an unexpectedly great season.

I can be simultaneously proud of what the Bulls accomplished and sick of the whole system these days.

I really don’t get how a 68 team tournament excludes USF (assuming we don’t bomb our conference tournament).

    Is our conference that terrible?

Our Bracketology for 2024! We list projections for all of NCAA Basketball tournament seeds as well as the NIT tournament in March.

As I am reading this, it is projecting the Bulls as a NIT two seed.  Am I missing something?

In my opinion Charlotte is by far the worst of the locations to visit the campus and surrounding area, but lots of beautiful mountain activities an hour or so away.

Not a huge fan of Charlotte for sure, but it is close to my crib and beautiful parts of the Piedmont and Smokies.  One great thing about NC is that it offers a little bit of everything to satisy various tastes, from beaches to mountains, Nascar to wine country, etc.  Love it up here.
