nobody wants to drive to birmingham to see usf play east carolina. the year before that -- the problem is USF played in Charlotte.. its going to take some time and years to get people to travel in the 10K range. A trip to a BCS game will solve it all.

Mac mad a lot of mistakes when he first got the job. 1.) He let Jimmy Baxter walk out the door. 2.) He ran most of the old guard off the team. None of them were that bad 3.) Didn't have a very good recruiting year after his first season. 4.) Lacked Stability in the coaching circles. Ran through assitants like water.

It is really really starting to come together for CJL and the boys. It is kind of amazing. We could be a real national power in 3-4 years. Amazing. It took UF almost 70 years to get to this point.

I think we would beat Rutgers if we played them again. I am more concerned with Petrino's Louisville Cardinal... They seem to be able reload every year.

I just hope they hire a young energetic assitant from a TOP NOTCH program. I don't want some guy from St. Paul Lakes University. I don't want a guy from Mount St. Mary's. USF needs a name brand guy to bring this program some credibility. A top notch assitant from a championship program would best fit this university. Someone from Syracuse, Duke, UNC, Maryland. Don't send us a guy from Missouri State. I don't care that they won 20 games last year. Send us Chris Collins. Send us Boehiems top assitant. Send us Gary Williams recruiter. Just send someone soon.

I think the univeristy should let a coach go who will have four straight losing seasons.  A conference record in the ball park of 8-57.  A person who failied to make the conference tourny 3 of the four years he was coach.  A guy who won fewer then 3 road conference games in his four year tenure.  A guy who lost back to back years to Texas AM Corpus Crist. You are not a fan you are delusional.  I am really sorry i dont share your unfiltered support for USF basketball.  I happen to graduate from USFl and want to see my alma mater make the tourny before my life insurance contract pays out. Maybe fill out an office pool in March at my work that has USF in the final four.... Flsportsfan and I are not "dickheads" we are energetic fans who want something better then what is put on the floor.

I worry about sky high expectations on Grothe and the program as a whole. Second years usually aren't as good as the first.

I support the troops as well. I just feel bad for the university and my fellow alums. We deserve better. No coach has my loyalty over my support for my alma mater. I will be at the Wake game with a bag on my head supporting the boys.

I think Mike Davis got a horrible deal in Bloomington. I think he is a great coach.

A second comment. I would like to see the football team sign a top notch recruit in any aspect. A 5 star would be such a huge deal.
