It's way too early for this
Oh come on Trip! When has ultra-high expectations ever gone wrong??

I've always loved reading the Times, but I'll never pay for a subscription to them. Seeing the amount of exposure they give USF has been very disappointing over the last few years.

From 0 -12... That's pretty good.
Not saying it's not good, just saying I don't think he deserves COTY.

He's going to have tough competition from Rhule at Temple. Two divisional championships in two years is nicely consistent. Frost's turnaround for the goofs in Oviedo is also pretty impressive.
Maybe I'm biased (OK I am), but 6-6 really shouldn't win you COTY.

Can't say I've ever been this excited about football after Thanksgiving!

So we are making up scenarios that would be better?
This is a pretty asinine exercise.
If you are disappointed then I feel bad for you in that regard.
I sat through year after year in the stands and watched us get pummeled by every Tom, **** and Harry out there. Now when I go to games I get to enjoy them again.
We are winning at home, on the road in conference, on ESPN at night and all those silly times and places we struggled in the past.
Our QB has numbers comparable to the lead Heisman candidate this year, we will bet likely end the season ranked for the first time and most of the team is returning next year.
Things did not fall our way to make the CCG game but we won't be the first good team to have that happen to. Sometimes crappy teams wind up backing into CCGs and good teams get left out due to one loss to the wrong team.
My god, how did you survive the Holtz years?
I don't know if you are looking to be bucked up or what but my advice to you my fellow anonymous message board friend is to enjoy the team and where we are right now.
If we keep playing at this level good things will come our way but this is college football and there will always be room for improvement.
This should have 1000 Up votes. If you're not absolutely loving this season, and you're not 100% certain this team is improved and is probably best team USF has ever fielded just because you thought they HAD to win the conference for it to be successful, than I kinda feel bad for you.

When do bowl invites go out? After championship weekend (12/3) or will some go out after this weekends games?
I think some will go out after this weekend, but for the most part, after championship week.

Only 2 games count this week.
Phew, good to know there are only two games we should discuss at all on here.

Honestly, if CWT were to leave after next season, considering the season goes as expected, I think we would be able to pull someone in better than Butch at this point in his career.

Mack will not be drafted because of his size and ability to block for QB.
I think Wilcox is only one in USF roster has best potential for the NFL draft.
Lol.... if you've been watching USF this season and think Mitchell Wilcox is the ONLY player with even potential for the NFL draft, you're going to very pleasantly surprised when you watch the draft over the next three years.

NY6 takes the best 12 teams in the country?
No, they take the best 11, plus whatever G5 conference champion ranks highest.
If that G5 team is ranked less than #12, or worse, less than #25, do they still really belong there?
That seem fair to you?
If it's USF, then yes.

Could see Temple slipping up in any of there last 3 games. They're a decent team, but i don't know if they're good enough to win 6 straight.

Anyone else praying that Marlon, CWT and D'Ernest sit down after this season and all agree "I'll stay if you stay"?

You guys must suck at tailgating if you need to be on campus to really have fun doing it ...
Not saying I don't have fun, not saying I don't think there are a lot of good tailgates at Ray Jay. I'm saying the atmosphere of having a majority of the student population on campus enjoying gameday is favorable to only the fans that drive 30 mins to the game. Disagree with me if you'd like.

This 1000000x. I remember that if we had a night game or even an away game, the campus was like a ghost town. Nothing to get the students hyped about the game. Until the university does something to bring the energy for football up on campus, the borderline students will continue to not go to the games.
And those 35k borderline students that don't go to games in college are very unlikely go to games in the future, losing thousands of potential alumni fans each year.

Students, absolutely..... alumni, you have no case.
Young UCF/UF/FSU alumni go for the gameday experience and the atmosphere, not entirely for the game. I don't care how much fun your tailgate is, but it's not as fun as the ones On-Campus at the in-state schools.

Ok, I get it. You want an OC stadium. I'm not against that. But if you quit on your team because of a couple bad years you're not really a fan. They names.ever had a team when I was there and I drive just as far to go to games. But anyways, from what I see the students are usually pretty well represented.
The problem is not the students that go to the game. The problem is, the ones that don't go, are not involved with USF football AT ALL. Gameday on Fowler Avenue is barely any different than a Saturday in March, and that is a HUGE problem.

Looks like about 5-600 left on Ticketmaster. Pretty good chance of a sell out...was the last one the WVU game? Man that was awesome.
FSU 2012 was the last.

If both teams are undefeated then it might be a sellout. Ray Jay will be humming in 2 weeks!
It'll be a sellout no matter what. We had just lost to ball state and still had our largest ever crowd in 2012.
