  1. I think this happens sooner rather than later. From the onset, reports pegged Willie as FSU's first choice. Read today that FSU is a "dream job" for Willie, who's whole family grew up Seminole's fans. With a meeting happening today, I would bet all sides will get it done.

    * Florida State is pushing to get into the Gasparilla Bowl in St. Petersburg. The Seminoles technically would have to be bypassed by every ACC bowl to be available for a non-ACC bowl. But I’m told FSU is lobbying to play in St. Pete. If FSU is not successful getting to St. Pete, the Seminoles would probably end up in the Independence Bowl. If FSU gets to St. Pete, it’s unknown if they would play the American rep (USF) or C-USA rep (FAU). This one could get interesting.

St. Pete vs. FSU would be sweeeeeeet.

Why are they allowed to play a regular season game on championship weekend? I totally missed all this post hurricane.

I don't think there is anything that prevented them from scheduling the game on championship weekend, rule wise, since they were virtually eliminated from playing in the championship game at that point in the season.

I wanted this win so badly for Quinton.

Kept thinking about this on the way home last night. Him playing the way he did, in his final regular season game and final chance to get some meaningful hardware in his career here, only to come up short, made the loss hurt that much more.

Also, until last night, I was always wishy-washy on whether I would expect to see him build a career in the NFL. But, if you're a Coach or GM at the next level, I think you want a guy like Quinton on your 53 man roster.

  5. I watched the game downtown at The Basement, packed with UCiF fans. Had a great time, and the free beer was nice touch.

One USF fan was an ass, though. Poking fun at Shaquem Griffin before him and his GF got tossed, I believe for her getting close to fighting some UCF co-eds.

  6. He's a rare type of person, and an even more rare college athlete. Was awesome to watch. I don't think we'll ever see a player with the amount of intangibles he brought to the table, athletically and professionally, again at USF.

I really hope I get a chance to watch him play more football over the coming years. But, if he doesn't stick in the NFL, I think he's going to be very successful in whatever he does.

Hoping we get around 50k next weekend.

    I wouldn't hold your breath.

I've got zero idea what it's like to be a head coach and feel like you're the one that has to explain to your players why the stands are still empty; but, it seems a little bit ridiculous to be that frustrated about the attendance, literally only 3 home games into your tenure, when those home games have been an FCS school and two cupcakes on a weeknight, to let a story like this get out.

I mean.. It's October. Shouldn't Strong have more important things to worry about? Makes Strong sound like he's got the patience of a 17 year old. Hoping this story is a lot of baloney, but i did read that Collin's picked up on it so imagine it's got some traction.

My freshman daughter just finished rushing at FSU.  Anyone rushing is allowed to move into the dorms early (8/20) and the entire process was wrapped up 8/27, the day before classes started.  Over 2,000 girls rushed.  Not exactly sure why USF waits until the first week of school?

Would really suck if you went early, rushed, then didn't get into a sorority... lol i wonder if that ever happens.

Just a heads up, I want to sign up for YouTube TV and while the info webpage says that it's 30 day free trial when you get into your Google account to do your free trial signup at the bottom of the page it says it's only 14 days. And there's also restrictions on what TV market you can be in, those are listed on that first page I posted above..

Any idea if CBSSN is available in the bay area?

Could be wrong but I think the AAC plays a lot more games in strength sapping conditions than the Pac 12 does, in which case, you want all the time you can get for the athlete's to replenish from a health safety standpoint ...

Curious as to what you mean by this... Saying the AAC games are tougher on the players? I do agree to your second point, even without the first one. Lets give these kids as much time to rest as possible.

Also, I wonder how they're are going to do this when non conference games. I'm assuming this will only apply to conference games and all non-conference games are going to be  the standard 20 minute halves?
