  1. I doubt it. The play didn't look extraordinary at all. I figured he had hurt his knee when he got bent back awkwardly. I'll be surprised if he's not fine in a couple of months at the most.
  2. Haven't heard. Looked like some kind of shoulder injury. That kid has taken more licks in the past four years than anyone should have to endure. It would amaze you the hits he has bounced up from. He has a lot of heart. Hopefully, it's not too serious. I assume Grothe will be fine? That was one fine pass he threw on the sideline route.
  3. No excuses. You guys were clearly the better team today. Your defense is excellent, and obviously your offense should get better the next few years. You dominated the line of scrimmage, which I feared going in. Your LBs are top-notch. We are young and improving but weren't up to the job today. Good luck next year.
  4. I know you're the admin here, but that's a pretty screwed up thing to say with no facts whatsoever. According to the folks on our board, it was the police who overreacted to a fairly tame situation.
  5. No, but I hear you can get one with crow. You guys better order plenty.
  6. http://www.tbo.com/sports/bulls/MGB2GYRMYVE.html That's almost exactly what I said on here awhile back. I think USF has about a 60% chance of winning, and ECU has a 40% chance. Certainly close enough that it could go either way. Depends on breaks, who wants it more and who might be a little flat. I know the seniors on our team, who have been through hell during their careers, are extremely motivated. I also like Skip's chances of getting the team fired up for the game.
  7. Hey, thanks for setting me straight. I didn't realize the entire video game industry had no respect for USF. Kind of like the entire sports world, huh? I wonder what you guys did to pi$$ them off?
  8. Looks like a typical USF crowd in the stands.
  9. This strikes me as a pretty valid possible scenario.  Game Simulation
  10. Look for Chris Johnson to take a kickoff to the house.  He's faaassssst! I doubt he'll have too many opportunities, however. ;D
  11. It probably won't seem nearly as funny Saturday afternoon.
  12. My bad. My brain is repressing the memory of that performance.
  13. How do you figure that? You outrank us in punt returns (6th to 70th), but we outrank you in punting (12th to 112th) and kickoff returns (24th to 99th). We've also kicked 17 FGs to your 6. Defensively, you're about 20 spots ahead of us in ranking, but we have a significant advantage in turnover margin.
  14. Mike, I've been reading this board the past couple of weeks, and I haven't seen any comments like that. Maybe they have been posted earlier from fans of other CUSA schools. Personally, while I have detected a "superiority complex" by some USF posters, I don't hold it against any school trying to get 1-for-1 contracts.
  15. Where are you getting your information? The NCAA says USF is #39, while ECU is #32 in passing. We average 230 ypg to your 224. Our QB has 1 400+ game and 1 300+ game, while yours has 2 300+ games. Our best games were against SMU and Marshall, while your were against UCF and Syracuse. Looks pretty even to me.
  16. Hey, if I were making the plans, we wouldn't be in a bowl. I'm just guessing, and I'm probably wrong. I do think we've got a great coaching staff and that we'll be as well, if not better, prepared.
  17. We gave up more than 21 three times in the first 6 games, but none in the last six. WVU (third in total offense) scored 27 on us (yes, I know they played you, too, but we held them to the second-lowest total offense after you guys.)
  18. Statistically, Virginia outranks you. We scored 31 on them.
  19. Wow, thanks, Capt. Obvious. Didn't you see the smilie on my post? Yes, we won the battle and lost the war. My guess is we will shut down your running game, including Grothe, and try to make you beat us passing. We'll probably give up some yards between the 20s. Hopefully, we'll stiffen in the red zone, maybe pick off a few passes, and at least force you guys to kick FGs.
  20. We've only been "manhandled" once this season -- against Tulsa on the road. I don't think we'll play that poorly in B'ham. You may have to cry.
