  1. Yeah screw you academic committee for upholding the standards of an educational institution.

We'd much rather take the loss in scholarships in the future and win now. Well, until the future comes and we blame the academic committee for allowing a academic risk to kill our APR.

Fair enough, and I agree, but ...

Why would Florida JC credits be acceptable to Oregon and not to a Florida institution such as USF?

I can't answer that. I can tell you that Oregon had one of the lowest APRs in college basketball a couple years ago.

we talked about this a few months ago.....he didn't get into USF because he had a 2.4 gpa and DIDNT go to one colleges listed below.  if a transfer student goes to one of these institutions, usf only requires a 2.0 gpa to be admitted.  THIS CONSORTIUM AGREEMENT IS THE DUMBEST THING IVE EVER HEARD OF, and by us signing it we have severely limited ourselves with incoming transfer athletes.

*per the Consortium Agreement entered into by USF, Hillsborough Community College, St. Petersburg College and Pasco Hernando Community College.

Here's USF's admission requirements for transfer students with an AA/AS.

    "

To be considered for admission, all transfer applicants are required to have successfully completed a minimum of 67 percent of all credit hours attempted at currently and previously enrolled institutions. In addition, a minimum GPA of 2.50 is required. Exceptions include:

    • Upper-level applicants with an AA/AS degree from Hillsborough Community College, St. Petersburg College or Pasco Hernando Community College. Applicants from these schools must have a minimum GPA of 2.00*
    • Students with an AA/AS degree from a Florida System College who intend to major in Public Health, General Studies or Information Science. These students must have a minimum GPA of 2.00.
  2. THIS POST IS A LITTLE ALL OVER THE PLACE, BUT YOU GET THE GIST, I NEEDED A GOOD VENT.

vic rudd needs to give effort more consistently, on both ends of the court.  how can he NOT get hyped up for a conference home game in front of a big crowd?  i don't get it.  to me, the worst part of the Nova game was the lost art of the "box out".  i know were not going to be as big as most teams we play from here on, but we HAVE to least stick to the fundamentals of boxing out your man when rebounding. in addition, were completely wasting a scholarship on Jordan whatever his last name is.  hes a complete liability.  7'3", but cant run, jump, shoot, rebound, or defend.  hes just TOO big, if that even is such a thing.  when your games are as lopsided as they've been recently in the rebounding department, and your 7'3" center is on the bench, that should tell you anything you need to know about how much faith our staff has in his skill set.  and i completely agree with our offense needing to play with more urgency.  we don't have the bigs on D we had last year to be able to survive with the same type of offense.  with ron anderson down low, we could bang with any ugly, now, not so much.  Waverly Austin was going to be our only option down low...now, thanks to our Harvard like academic committee we have NONE. it doesn't seem we have anyone with a mid-range jumper (with the exception of an AC floater in the paint).  too many possessions end up in a 3 pointer or a drive to the basket with an ugly shot attempt.  this wont win games.  ill still fully support our team by attending every home game, but at this point, i fear we'll be lucky to make it to the NIT.

  3. easy to question the decision making capabilities of a 20-ish young man who has 3.5 seconds to make the best choice, often amongst lousy choices, before be smashed into. just keep rockin' the recliner.

im not comparing his decision making to what you or i would do under center, im comparing his decision making to those quarterbacks who actually know how to throw the ball away before scrambling around and taking a 10 yard loss on a sack.
  4. A stud RB will succeed in Willie T's O !

This will be the deciding factor in our 2013 success!

    Go BULLS !!!

ET I don't want to be a Debbie Downer again, but 2013 is gonna blow... Skip left the cupboard bare and appears to have only recruited CUSA level talent to replace the 20 seniors that left.

CWT has his work cut out for him in 2013.

maybe going into 2013 thinking that will help it sting that much less if it actually happens....versus 2012 where we had visions of a big east championship and instead got donkey punched by skippy and a 3-9 season.
  5. "he extended the contract of football coach Skip Holtz last summer, even after a 5-7 bowl-less season, because he felt it was "important to maintain the stability and continuity of leadership in our football program'' after Holtz had been pursued by other schools."

yeah, because it would've been TERRIBLE if another school would have poached our coach that led us to a bowl less 5-7 season. with as much skill talent as we have compared to other teams in our conference, we should NEVER have a sub .500 season....and our conference record last year speaks for itself. maybe once our higher end recruits start backing out of committments, which will happen, woolard will finally open his **** eyes! either that, or judy needs to open his eyes for him.
