  1. I don't care if a kid transfers out.  If he feels that's best so be it.  Just be honest.  Can we have some honesty.  Is that too much to ask?  Just friggin don't make these quotes if you may even have a small amount of desire to move on.  Dude we can live with honesty and if you want to go so be it.  And don't give me i changed my mind.  If you feel you might change your mind, then don't make quotes to the contrary in the first place.  I don't care if you change your mind, if you want to go, then go.  Just don't say one thing and do another.  If you say your a man of your word and your gonna be there, then be there.

Yeah I know full well coaches do the same exact thing, maybe that's part of the problem.  Just say nothing that way you can do whatever you want to do.

I believe his father said that quote came in the context of not quitting when CJS was fired midseason. BB at least finished out the season busting his ass, unlike a couple others that we saw down the stretch.

Of course he’s going to say that now to save face. However the original quote had to do with the transfer portal after the season had already been completed.

Just be completely honest. We can live with that. If there’s even a one percent chance you might leave, don’t make that quote, period.

I’d rather a kid just flat out say I’m going to do what’s in my best interest every year. Can live with complete honesty.

That's not the way football works. While Georgia is much better then TCU, they are not 65-7 better. I bet if you played the same game over 10 more times, Georgia would win 8 or 9, but the difference in  score would vary dramatically from game to game. It seems like yesterday there was a perfect storm for Georgia where they grabbed the momentum early and never let go.

Georgia would win all 10.  Some would be complete blowouts, a few may be somewhat close, but Georgia would definitely win all 10.

  4. If the Big 12 is a sinking ship, what does that make the AAC?  They recently signed a TV deal, and even without Texas and OU, they will be making 5x what the AAC does.  If they lose a school or two, they will simply pick up an AAC school and the AAC school will say yes in less than 10 seconds.

On a side note, why did we schedule Alabama?  Why?  I am expecting about 70-0 after Alabama calls off the dogs, but I don't see the point in this game at this time.

Yep, he’s meh at this point with 7 receptions in 8 career games, but that doesn’t mean he’ll always be. Wouldn’t you rather be signing a guy from another school who’s like Jimmy Horn or Xavier Weaver and has already proven on the collegiate level? That would be not “meh”

What has Yusuf Terry done at USF. Nada. How about Khafre Brown of the 4.4 speed? Meh. Time will tell, but an unproven WR and a 3rd string OT are “meh” until proven otherwise. Give me a WR from Baylor or Tennessee or wherever who has 50-70 catches to his credit and I’ll be much more fired up. Give me a guy like Ryan O’Keefe who left UCF and transferred to BC.

Khafre Brown has been injured so we can't really tell yet what he will be.  Terry, I agree has been a bust so far.  I don't know but maybe Baylor had a better group of WR's than we did, and that's why he only had 7 catches during his redshirt freshman year.  Maybe he couldn't get past more established guys in the system.  Sometimes it's hard to break through, but he could legitimately have the same talent as Horn and Weaver, since he was offered by an SEC, B12, and Pac 12 school.  They don't usually offer scrubs, he has some ability.

A third string OT and a WR who has not yet caught a pass in college. Meh.

He caught 7 passes at Baylor and he was just getting started.  He has 3 years of eligibility left.  He had a good offer list out of HS.  Texas A&M, TCU, Utah.  So a guy offered by Texas A&M is meh.  The guy has legitimate talent, otherwise he wouldn't have been offered by an SEC, Big 12, and Pac 12 school.

He has 4.47 speed, which is good and more than adequate for what we need.  He can move.

Jones becomes the fourth new addition to USF's wide receiver room.

  7. I guess the point is why can't Joiner by Battie 2.0.  They both have the same build and skill sets and Scott for whatever reason had Joiner higher on the depth chart.  In the past Joiner has shown he can be electric in limited playing time.  Is Battie really THAT much better than KJ?  Were the previous coaches complete idiots to have KJ higher than Battie on the depth chart.

Oh yes I agree 100 percent; I think he is a good pick up.

However with Batie leaving I still think Coach Golesh needs to find someone who could be our starting RB. Maybe someone in the Bohanon mold ( with that I mean a top RB who perhaps loses their position as a starter in spring training and want to go somewhere where they can start).

What about Joiner?  I mean there is a reason he was higher on the depth chart than Battie.  Someone thought he was better. I mean they were probably wrong and Battie was better but he still has potential to be a top tier guy.

I believe the 1100 yards is over 3 years. Last season he had less then 300 yard ( don't know maybe he was injured?).

Still a good pick up, but with Battie leaving I am expecting more RB additions through the transfer portal

The 1,100 yards was over 3 seasons but I think he can be a rotational back here.  2nd or 3rd team type rotational piece.  Remember NDSU has won almost every FCS championships the past 10-12 years and they are as good or better than about half of FBS programs in my opinion.

  10. OK I am a little worried now.  I wasn't until Battie left.

The main question I have is, why can't Golesh keep the players on his roster.  What is he not doing that can convince them to stay.  Or is there nothing he can do and it's inevitable.

I thought he was a good recruiter.  He does need to recruit the best players on his roster and right now, he's 0 for 3.  He just is.  All 3 players announced well after he got hired.  He had time to talk to them and recruit them.  So, what happened.  Was it just inevitable all along or was there something he could have done better?

While I agree, I think we need to consider that each player is here for one year at a time for as many times as they want to be here.  Everyone is too mobile now to automatically assume that we would get all of BB's eligibility.  Crazy times.

Exactly this. Even if BB plays this year there’s zero guarantee he’d be here 4 years

Get what you can get every year. If that means playing GB and BB walks so be it.
