  1. How long ago was Jeff Scott fired.  FAU fired Taggart and hired Herman in a matter of days.

Kelly is royally screwing up this search.  He has no one and everyone knows it.  Scott has been gone a month now.  Others are firing, interviewing, and hiring good coaches in 3-4 days.  He fired Scott on Nov. 6th.

He has no one or they would have been hired by now.  He has resorted to begging or settling for third rate candidates.

Be very prepared to be underwhelmed. This is the most screwed up head coach hiring process ever.  MK sat around on his hands and now he has nothing.

He just needs a top 50 class of FL kids and that's enough to dominate the new AAC since Memphis is down right now and SMU has been almost there for a few years but never puts it all together. UTSA looks good but not dominate the new AAC good.

I live in San Antonio, so have seen a fair share of UTSA games.  They legitimately would be at the top of the AAC, along with the likes of Tulane, Cincinnati, and UCF.  But they are also senior heavy.  Their QB and top 3 receivers are all seniors.  I think they could all come back next year for their super senior year, but if they don't then they will probably take a step back.  Their QB Frank Harris is really, really good.

  3. JP Peterson is legit so there was some truth to this rumor.  How much, we don't know, but it's apparent to me that there was some type of communication and negotiation between Deion and USF.  Whether that led to anything or if it is still ongoing can't be determined yet.

I don’t buy that Deion was on campus this morning.  JP says he was there at 5:30am but supposedly with his team at JSU at 8:30am

If he were on USF's campus, it makes sense it would be early morning to avoid distractions and being noticed.

JP and I are using the same source. Everything JP said was "accurate" as of this morning. I am saying that there is no chance based upon the text message I just saw.

It could all be part of the negotiating process.

He has no reason to be posturing with my source. The guy has no connection to USF football or the powers that be and is a really loyal friend to Deion.

Again.  So what changed in the last 5 minutes to he was 90 percent coming to now not coming.

And, I just heard from the same source that JP is relying that he is not coming to USF. This all appears to have been posturing by Deion.

So things changed in the last 5 minutes to Deion is coming, just working out the details to Deion is not coming???

    What changed.

Mcall is bot following him. Why would he risk his last seasom with a 1-11 team that is rebuilding? I feel he goes the P5 route.

We were 1-11, but on closer inspection, we were right there with some good teams.  There is a serious chance of a major turnaround fast if the defense can get fixed.  The offense will hum next year, regardless of who the coach is, if we can keep both BB's.

  9. Someone like a Weaver I get, but I don't get the rationale for someone like Willis to hit the portal with his 6 catches.  Number one, he probably burns his bridge at USF, and secondly and most importantly, there is no guarantee he will get an FBS, or even FCS offer anywhere.  I guess he's willing to take that chance.

Personally, I think players should wait to see who the new coach is before going into the portal.

Mcall only has one year left. So if BB has to sit one year as a true back up thats okay with me.

You may want that, but does BB want that.

In this day of the transfer portal, no one that is good enough to start has to sit, even one year.  If you are good enough to start, you can transfer somewhere and play immediately.

So while it may benefit USF and fans for BB to sit a year, he does not have to sit a year.  He can play somewhere immediately and start.
