We have 7 clear starters and everyone else is an OR. I understand surprising WKU a little bit, but I would like to see a little more certainty from CAG and staff in who they believe their guys are. Having fluidity at certain spots week-to-week is great but some more clarity would be nice.

They know who their guys are.  They just see no reason to reveal it to Western Kentucky.

...on a moratorium on whining and crying, doomerism, condemnation of the past and ruing our conference home etc., and have a great game week looking forward to seeing our team in action next weekend?

    Whatta we think?  :04-rock:

Stating facts is not whining and crying.  They are simply stating facts, even if it paints USF in a bad light.

Yes. Let us all recall that 2x Big East Football Co-Champion(and 5x NCAAB Champion) Connecticut has found an adequate home in the Independent Conference.

They're in the Big East, which to them is a huge hit.  In case you didn't know, the Big East is still a basketball power conference.  UConn does not care about football (yet were still a lot better than USF last year, which should never happen).  So yes, their situation is better than ours.  They won a national championship out of the Big East, which is what they care about.

  4. USF  Left behind for a third time In realignment. Or is it 4th or 5th now.

USF. The only school from the former Big East that hasn’t found an adequate home.

USF. The only school passed up by 4 former CUSA schools they were once ahead of.

USF. Not attractive to any conference.

USF. Bungled leadership at every turn.

Thinking something will magically change when it hasn’t the past 15 years is insane. Recommend you give up fantasies of USF going anywhere. Your mental health will be a lot better if you stop living in dream world.

Ok we can’t depend on McMurph to provide good news regarding USF. After all he is a UCiF peep now. How about I ask you this question. Why are only 3 schools being mentioned regarding ACC expansion?? Why not 4?? Are they anticipating losing only one team ??

Not just McM.  There are a whole host of national media that get scoops.  I just used him as an example.

Ok I will ask you the same question as I did for others. How in the hell do you know all this inside information?? So you know for sure that USF didn’t give their goods away for free like SMU??

It leaked for SMU, Stanford and Cal in terms of what they offered ACC.

You're telling me a USF offer wouldn't leak also?

USF...sitting around on their ***** while the last spots are taken once again.

  7. I told you several weeks ago, USF was wanted by no one, wasn't going anywhere, and will remain in an AAC like conference.  I still believe that to be true.  I've accepted that.

However, I do have a question.  Why isn't USF trying to SMU their way into the ACC or another power conference?

SMU is offering to not receive TV revenue for 7 years.  Notice, that this is NOT offering to receive no revenue, only no TV revenue.  SMU will receive revenue from other ACC income such as NCAA tournament credits, bowl revenue, etc. that will probably be near what they currently make in the AAC.  For the sake of argument, let's say SMU still receives 10M a year in non TV revenue from the ACC.

Why can't USF offer the ACC to take no TV revenue for 8 years, one upping SMU?  USF would then live of the "other" ACC income, basically taking somewhere in line what they are currently getting in the AAC (around 8-9M a year), in exchange for being in a power conference.

My idea is for USF to not take any TV revenue for 8 years, which would be around 30-35M, and have those funds diverted to other in state programs, FSU and Miami, to secure their votes.

Has any at USF even tried to come up with a similar plan and pitch an SMU type plan to ACC, or are they all just sitting around on their *****.

SMU is getting the job done.  USF has no plan to get out of the AAC, and that is why I have no faith that they ever will.

which is why he shouldn't have said anything to anyone, or just let everyone know. The whole point of not letting the Tops prepare for us is going to be ruined all for some gimmick of keeping a "lid" on #1.

Do you honestly believe the team can't figure out who the number one guy is.  Really.  Have you played team sports before.  It's obvious to everyone who is getting most of the reps and who looks better, even if it's somewhat close.

  9. What are y'all doing to yourselves.  3,000 pages and USF is still being mentioned by no one credible and never has been.  Why do you keep torturing yourself.  Shut this thread down and stop living off every crumb some insignificant nobody says off twitter.

USF is being mentioned by absolutely no one, and never will.  Move after move after move and not only is USF not a candidate, they are literally being mentioned by NO ONE other than people on the board.

What are you doing to yourselves.  Please give up this fantasy once and for all.  USF is wanted by no one.

MK and Prez Law are convincing no one.  What more do you need to see?  Really? What more.

So much is still up in the air right now and there are so many unsubstantiated rumors floating around. Everything still hinges on FSU. If they end up leaving the ACC, then that is great news for USF. All we need to concentrate on is winning in men's basketball and football. The new OCS, facility upgrades, AAU membership, large alumni base, top 13 TV market, and tropical paradise of a location will take care of the rest. VPMK is working it and there is a lot going on right now that hasn't been released. Take a deep breath everyone! We will weather this storm!!

Sorry but all the seats are being taken now. Not 3 years from now. Now.

There’s no time to get house in order. It needed to be in order now.

    USF failed.

Well, maybe - just maybe - all of this USF conjecture about if FSU does this, and Miami does that and Stanford does the other thing is, nothing but wishful thinking. If you are not a USF fan, how do you look at the program and say, objectively, 'sure, USF is a value-added component' at this point in time. There's probably a very good reason why the only ones mentioning USF in relation to realignment is - us. It makes us feel good. It's a fun exercise. The alternative is to look back at how miserable the previous seasons have been or hope for improvement going forward. Sometimes just pondering winning the lottery is all there is. A necessary exercise.

At a certain point you just have to stop with the wishful pie in the sky thinking.  It ain't happening folks.  USF is what they are.  A mid major mid level AAC program that will always be a second tier program.

Stop the pie in the sky thinking that MK is working some type of magic behind the scenes to get USF in the ACC, B12, B10 or SEC.  USF has no value to any of these conferences.

Not happening.  Not now, not ever.  What do you have to see to start accepting this???

It appears that CAG has added even more freshman Offensive linemen to the team. Watch out for Drew Perez, buddy is like 6'8 330 Ibs. I also removed CB/Safety Christian Williams as he is not showing on the roster. Still no Pettway on the roster.
