I can't believe we are demanding expansion when we can't even fill the lower bowl of RJS. Get it built. Get the revenue to cover it. Get the conference invite. Then we worry about stadium expansion. At this point, "capable of expanding" and "know how we'll expand when necessary" mean that it's been thought about and included in the design. There is no world where USF should be building a larger stadium at this point. Sell out 35k for a few seasons, oversubscribe the season ticket allotments, put some opponents on the schedule that travel well and will demand more tickets, get our revenue in order - then expand (and have renderings done for the announcement).

I know.  One thread has conversations about how we might get passed up by the BIG since our (planned) stadium doesn't have the capacity they would require to join.  Another thread is about how we won't come close to filling the lower bowl vs FAU, and another one is about how we may get slaughtered by FAU.  Saturday can't come soon enough.  Need to get back to winning.

I pass by it everytime coming to Tampa for the game.....the restaurant/bar part shown in picture is demolished and apparently they are letting the weather and time bring it completely down. Has been like this for a number of years since I believe it was hit by a vehicle and then was condemned by authorities.

Yep.  Right before Christmas 2019.  I was stuck in the traffic.  A huge tractor trailer truck full of what looked like orange juice containers must have been coming off of 441.  Smashed right through it.  It took us 2 hours to get through the traffic jam coming off of the turnpike to head west on 60.  Looks like after the cleanup, they just through a fence around the pile of rubble.  Kind of resembles the bounce house now.

I believe there is no such thing as curses. There are either good teams or bad teams; good coaching hires or bad coaching hires.

The woman's basketball team  has found great success, so i don't see why the men's team can't do the same. If we fail it will be because we hired a bad coach and not because of an Indian burial ground.

A bit like football, I am expecting improvement compared to last year in year 1, and at least a NIT bid by next year.

Great point.  Wouldn't a curse affect all teams playing in the YC?

Who cases... destroy ::insert irrelevant team here:: and move on. I don't care if it's Georgia State or Gambling State. A win against either is ho hum and nobody cares.

Pick up Kennesaw State from the ASUN.  Lord knows the AAC doesn't have enough "Owls" in it.

When speaking of attendance woes, we must include our new conference mates as part of the problem.  What was that yesterday?  The attendance at UAB was pitiful.  Is that tied into our team's performance?

It was bad.  Not sure, but during pre game, VPMK was boasting about the good TV slots that we have been getting and suggesting that it was due to our performance and fan interest.  We definitely took a step backwards in that department yesterday.

I am deflated but not discouraged, I have gotten so use to losing that I bounce back quick. The main concern which has been discussed ad nauseam is how slow we looked.  Our secondary looked like complete trash, only thing to do with this game film is to burn it.

We didn’t just lose.  We got schooled.  By a program that had no fans.  1-4.  We were favored to win.  If we had lost by a score, I’d have been disappointed, but to do it the way we did…well that bothers me.  Next week will speak volumes about who this team really is.

Yep that cost us thousands of butts in seats next week.  Casual fans and non-interacting STMs this morning are saying "oh well same old USF, so what are we doing on Saturday now?".

Edit:  This is not my view.  I'm fully supporting this team and believe we will still go bowling this year.  Just what I hear friends and others saying.  I was in a bar in Clearwater during the second half and heard 2 different people say something of this gist.

I will still be there, but yeah, after a performance like that, I expect many will choose to spend their Saturday elsewhere.  Reminds me of the Tulane road loss in 2021…we thought we may have turned a corner, and then decided to basically pull a no show.  Coach better have these guys ready. I don’t want to get in the habit of getting lapped by another Florida school.
