I would venture to say Spires is faster than Stephen Nicholas, seriously.
First Doug, you should know by now that I am fairly accurate about my information...I'll give Atlantic a mulligan for possibly not being aware.
.
I think the proper use of "Bo speak" would be "Steve gives Atlantic a mulligan...." not the use of the pronoun, "I".

Fair article?? Jesus, the Oracle should hire this guy, it's UNBELIEVABLY "glass is half full". ummm, where did we talk about not having won a conference road game in 2+ years, where did he talk about not making the tourney last year and not much chance this year, the 30 point half-time deficits, etc...MORE THAN FAIR I SAY!! THANK YOU!!!!!!
-
Given we can't win on the road, how in the world can it not be?
-
Makes sense, Spires, Joseph, McQueen, Glover and McKenzie, if he gets the waiver, could likely cover for Snake, St. Louis, let Robinson rush the passer, he's got skillz......we'll be fine. As Bum Phillips said, "Either you are fer us or agin' us." We want all the guys "fer us", not themselves.
Carpe diem, the Jim!!

If that's not what I'm thinking it stands for, what I'm thinking it stands for fits perfectly, too... 8-)
I had to google it... :-/
I'd never seen the acronym used before but even Wikipedia has it... Mufasa is cutting edge.
Appreciate the props, Little Buddy, say hi to Simon for me....

It must be good to be king. Keep herding the timid, Mufasa.
I'd rather attempt to rein in the rude, reckless and irresponsible than try to herd the timid.
Duly noted, Sheriff Fife, rank does have its privilege....

****, opens the doors for some recruits, though...

Sounds a lot like Chris DeArmas.
Unfortunately.

I think it's possible that if the Bucs have another losing season, the Glazers may look at making CJL the head coach. The idea may seem somewhat out of reach, but petrino left Louisville in a heartbeat to coach the falcons. CJL is a defensive minded coach. The Bucs are a defensive minded team. CJL said he had his dream job coaching USF because amongst other things, he was coaching in his hometown in the best facilities in the country (whether pro or college, rjs is a great stadium). Now what's better than coaching the local D-1 team?.....Coaching the local pro football team. CJL would make entirely more money without having to pick a hat up to leave. Although, I’m happy that we have Canales and Mac, these are two former head coaches on our staff that could step right in and take over the head coaching job @ USF. The more I think about this, the more I see it playing out. I hate the Bucs, will and always be a Lions fan till the I die (that's suffering enough), but this year I may have a second favorite team. Go Bucs!!
You can say, why would the Glazers want to hire CJL? I say, why wouldn't they? Just for the possibility that CJL could be a candidate, I hope the Bucs win some games this year.
Wow, have you ever seen the Jim deal with the media? Case closed.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I have no clue what this thread is about .... :-/
Well said, Grasshopper. Who started this thread, Kato Kaelin?

Listen, men, if we are supposed to be the Alpha males of the fan base, we're f'ed. IF we make a BCS bowl, if we don't pack our allotment, we should all be shot. Period. Selling New Orleans on January 4 or Miami on January 3 on national TV isn't exactly like the Meineke in Charlotte or the no name bowl in B'ham. We'll be fiiiiiiiiiiiiine, put away the umbrellas and frappucinos, it isn't going to start snowing any time soon in February in Tampa,,,or Los Angeles, all due respect given to the soothsayer of this board.

Valdosta High is a powerhouse. Outside of the big schools in Atlanta, Valdosta and Loundes (also in Valdosta) are always in the state playoffs in GA.
Except they sucked this year. The locals say the new coach/es can't measure up to the old regime. having said that, they say mccoy is one of the best to come out of there.

which isn't?
Hitting on fellow posters. That's what PM's are for.
Appreciate the protocol lessons, Little Boy Blue, but if you want to save the world, head over to the "we won the second half" string and stick your nose in there. My simple point here is that courage is a key component to success in life, not fear. You'll learn one day, too....

Welcome to special teams, Ben.
Amen. It will be good to hopefully have some depth so we've got some talent on special teams. Our kickoff return team was brutal this year.

I realize I'm gonna get a lot of "just win baby" replies here, and that's fine, but I think it's a legitimate concern.
The fan base is growing a large amount slower than the program is. With the bowl games, and the potential of the young players we have, and the potential of the recruiting classes that are improving each and every year, this team has a legitimate chance to do some pretty special things. Problem is, no one cares.
What happens when USF wins the Big East in the next year or 2?
Yeah, it'll be monumental for the program in so many ways, but there's one problem: it'll ALL be overshadowed by the local and national media saying: "What a young and exciting program they have there in Tampa, but look out in the stands, they barely sell out HALF of Raymond James and they only brought 10,000 to the Sugar Bowl. What an embarrasment."
You can almost see it happening, and it's scary. To me anyways...
..........and Dorothy turned and looked right into the lion's poor, weak eyes an said, "Have courage, Lion."
maybe if we wore some dynamic new uniform logos Mrs. Blackwell, you might buck up some?... wow.
-
in one of the worst years in the big east the bulls will struggle to make the tourney
rmc needs to go
The #1 reason I want USF Basketball to succeed is so that smazza continues to never be right about a topic because his posts are negative 99% of the time. He is 100% right here.
Agreed. How in the hell does anyone see getting blown out by 30 points in the first half as progress? I'd be willing to bet there was no worse deficit in the first half in the whole season in the Big East. Horrible, absolutely f'ing horrible. Put down the pipe, Mac-ers, and throw in the towel.

Rock on, great day in Bullsville. Canales formerly our OC, now coming back as receivers coach?? I'm guessing some of those bulls honeys he was scoping on-campus grew up and lured him back, so to speak........ahhhhhhhh, life is good.
-
I say make him a slot tight-end.
not enough size
That's the thing with this guy. Great overall athlete but...
Too careless with the ball to be a QB.
Too lanky to be a RB.
Too stone-handed to be a WR.
Too small to be a TE.
Not fluid in the hips enough to be a DB.
It's a very unusual situation. Where do you put a guy with so much speed and so few other skills?
Happens all the time.......skinny guy...if you can catch, wide receiver, if you can't corner back. medium guy, if you can catch, halfback, if you can't, safety. larger guy, if you can catch, fullback or tight end, if you can't, linebacker. plenty of spots boys, just bring in the athletes.....
-
well its possible that he is actually pretty intelligent but has just been goofing off in classes. from what I have heard it is his grades that are keeping him from qualifying.
No doubt, another innocent youth victimized by "the Man"...shameful.
