I keep wondering if we are lucky enough to get an invite to a new conference before the groundbreaking if they don't bump up capacity before it is too late. Nothing dramatic, maybe just get it into the low 40s. (I agree, building then adding on right away seems like a bad plan)

Yea, I can't imagine not planning the infrastructure to at least go from 35k to 45k+.

Thanks for this take. I take some of these losses too hard sometimes particularly when I see the talent the team has but still manages to surprise. Last years team while their 3 pt shooting was held more at bay was really offensively hard to watch in general. So fair point.

Losing because of missed free throws is my only complaint. I don't care how bad the officiating was, or one sided the calls were. Our inability to be even close to average lost the game. 9 of 19 = 47.4%

i think it was that many safeties if my memory serves me correctly.I think some of the older guys are going to transfer out after spring game and game.

I knew it had something to do with db’s. But with 5 of them in the game I thought the comment was odd.

I feel they need to start over and make these players earn their starting spots.

Every year at every position. Are there guys starting at #1 on the depth chart? Absolutely. But I hope no position is guaranteed based off the prior year, or class. If a freshman is the best, play him. Any decent coach then has at least a year to find or coach up the next guy.

Can get legally get offers if he is not in the portal? Isn't that tampering? The whole portal stuff  combined with nil is ruining college football more and more each year. So much shady stuff going on. Coaches recruit use nil money then claim they don't pay players to come there.

There are no rules against talking to a favorite uncle, cousin, best friend, etc. People at UF knew Etienne was going to Georgia two weeks before he entered the portal.

I'm talking his hypothetical question of Carter or Archie transferring  out if they didn't want to sit behind Brown next year or the future.

Brown If he wanted to would find offers.

I would bet a dollar to a donut that Brown already has other offers.

Depends . Archie hasn't really shown much here at coastal or usf because he has been behind studs and has limited experience. Carter we will have to see . Both have limited playing time and haven't shown a lot to move to a better program. Carter was a high 3 star so he could probably find a spot easier.

Archie had some decent offers out of high school, including Michigan. Can also throw a 93mph fastball. But agree, hasn't shown much.

They should because chances are if Brown has a good year in 24, he will be elsewhere in 25.

Chances and NIL are the portal problem. Now, if the NCAA goes back to the "must sit out a year" format, I think, would solve a lot of these problems. I can only think of one guy that transferred knowing he would have to sit, and IMO that was mostly a daddy spite thing.

  9. Plug-n-play vs build-n-nurture. The NIL SUCKS! Think about all of the discussions since NIL. If a coach goes out and recruits his ass off, signs "his guys," coaches'em up to be really good players, he has no idea how long they'll play for him.

So why not just live in the portal? Bad attitudes? New systems? Who cares? Just win.

Is Izzy Carter and/or Bryce Archie going continue to sit behind Byrum Brown?
