So after actually reading the whole article, it seems they can practice without signing due to a new rule ..... so still don't know what those guys were signing for.

One pretty cool thing, though, is that Tate actually committed on 6/17/2022. Stayed committed for a year and a half, through a regime change.

I think that has something to do with their acceptance letters to USF? So I'm guessing their scholarship for football is something different. But...

I couldn't agree more.  I am active with the local conservancy in our ever-growing city in southwest FL.  They are paving paradise.  There seems to be no way to take on these developers.  I've never seen a site plan denied.   We've lived in the woods for years, but now there's a house going up next door.   So much wildlife habitat destruction.

  3. Ahhhh good ol capitalism at it's finest. Find a product that will sell, market it, start raising the profit on the product until you find what the market will bear. Obviously, in sports, we haven't found what that number is. We have a $5.5 BILLION dollar stadium, a $700 MILLION dollar baseball player, college kids making SEVEN FIGUREs for playing, etc. We have not found the top of the market yet. I'm mostly with @Outlaw on this one. Although I do donate a minimal amount to the collective and athletics, I have reached my limit on what I will donate. I know that I will soon be priced out of the market, but that's ok because someone else will pay my way to enjoy it in a different capacity the future.

To be clear, the crème de la ACC (being - at minimum Heels & Noles) depart the ACC for greener pastures (regardless of terminus) leaving the remainder of the conference to be a watered-down rendition of the ACC; which, in turn, would be attractive to the Big XII. Assuming the 'second tier' ACC teams are absorbed into the Big XII, whatever carcass remains of the ACC is where U of SF would land.

How many have to leave before there's an AAC/ACC merger?

Got my tix and tailgate tix too, they may pass on doing the happy hour, it would get overrun, should have a nice showing.

Alumni email went straight to trash, so we missed it. Still no word on tickets. I guess they're not far enough down the pecking order for us. The address posted above can't be reached.

Is the Alumni group doing happy hour eve prior to the pep rally?  You would think they would do something near the park?  Haven’t seen anything, anyone know this area? are there pubs in the immediate vicinity?

Alumni is doing a tailgate, but it's sold out. Haven't seen anything about Wednesday. Haven't seen anything about tickets either.

did sofi stadium in la really costs 5.5 billion?

    what are we complaining about?

Apparently. Who paid for the SoFi Stadium?
How Stan Kroenke and NFL power brokers created SoFi Stadium ...
Rams owner Stan Kroenke poured six years and at least $5 billion into the 3.1-million-square-foot building that looks as if it arrived from another world. SoFi Stadium's swooping lines are an homage to the curves of California's coast.

I like BB and think he will be a very good QB for us as he continues to develop.

No P5 school is going to pay BB anything right now. He is not Colt Brennan; if he has a better year next year and leads us to a conference championship, then he could be offered a considerable amount (not a one year wonder).

USF is a feeder school, but most likely for coaches, players would be fewer and further in between.

No, he would NOT win a Natty year one at Alabama; he’s no Tim Tebow.

They’re paying high school kids. BB could easily cash in if he wanted to.

I am extremely impressed with golesh. He has broken into IMG academy. For our entire history, we have had a connection of the best high school players in the country in our own backyard but couldn't snag any of them. If he can build an IMG to USF pipeline... watch out. I'm just worried that if he has a really good year this year though that he's gone.

I don't think he has left any position unless it was an upgrade in responsibility, or the head coach left. He has certainly worked his way up thru the ranks, and maybe the NFL someday. I just don't get the feeling he's chasing money. Of course he is an OSU Alumni, so maybe that one.

    2.  Agree; love it.  He's "fascinated" previously we've not been able to make it work here.

He keeps talking about laying the foundation.  Would love to hear the shift when he feels the foundation is there and ready to build beyond it.

I’m sure he’ll say the foundation is laid after we get there, whenever that is.
