How can they sue Oregon over NIL when the NIL and a University are not supposed to be financially affiliated?

I plan to attend the bowl, if it is the Gaspariila, will they do a happy hour, alumni tailgate etc.., and what is the best venue to track the festivities to get signed up?
1 hour ago, Rocky Style said:There was an email that went out asking if you want to sign up for bowl information. Does anyone have a link to that?

May be we should move down to D2 football then if winning, regardless of against who, is all that matters. Saves $300M.
We’re talking about a single bowl game. But you go ahead with your ridiculous posts.

Serious ? - do you think he regrets leaving?
Nope. He left for the money and got paid.

how bout as a returner?
Keionte Scott, a defensive back and punt returner for the Tigers, has been the primary returner for Auburn all season. Backup Koy Moore has had the chance to return seven punts of his own, but hasn't seen as much action as Scott has.

I'm good with the bowl in Orlando ..... but **** the one in Ovideo.
Unfortunately that's not an option - this year.

And yet some want to belittle the competition. You know, cause we're above them.

For the most part yes…majority of non P4 schools would fall under my definition of no names.
Are Top 25 teams considered no names?
-
17 minutes ago, 00Bull said:
Yeah, that’s where we differ. I am not interested in padding stats with a win over a no name team. Feels too participation trophy-ish for me. Put these extra practices to use and play a legitimate game that people (at large - not just die hards) will want to tune into. USF needs to make a name for itself again. No risk, no reward.
Just curious. Are you one that feels the AAC is a conference of no names?

And I think it’s past time we come together as a fanbase, embrace the decision athletics has made and stop trying to live in the past. We have to respect the decisions of the university and appreciate the vision the professionals are trying to implement and stop trying to second guess their decisions every year.
I am of course talking about alternative uniforms, the soflos, the slimes, the blacks the grays they are all our colors because the university says so and getting butt hurt every time you see what your unprofessional eye thinks are not our colors isn’t going to help anything. I get that you may think this leads to brand confusion but would that really be the worst thing for the past decade?
This is coming from a guy that seems to have a negative, non-professional, opinion about nearly every aspect of USF athletics. Comical.

Gators fired some of their defensive coaches… do we call them over?
They couldn’t coach up P5 talent. So, no thanks.

And like a real program, we need to live and breathe it throughout the year. Golesh will. Big time programs do. Let's not go hibernate. I hope the Athletic Dept helps keep the excitement up.
My wife and I are known as the BULLS people in our neighborhood. Yard signs, flags, and for me, BULLS shirt 365 days a year. I probably own 50+ shirts, 20+ hats, at least a dozen jackets and sweatshirts.

It’s going to be a long offseason.
BUT! not nearly as long as the 4 year offseason/nightmare we’ve endured before Golesh. GO BULLS!

Technically, there is no rule preventing it. However, entering the transfer portal tends to mean "I don't want to be on this team any more" so most schools consider it a form of quitting and only play the players who WANT to be there.
Besides, if a player wants to both play in the bowl game AND enter the transfer portal, they can enter the portal after the game. The window is 30 days from December 3rd -- which is January 2nd.
Does the team take the normal travel team, or do they allow the full roster? Curious if a coach would allow it.
-
Do the guys in the portal play in bowl games? Do you think that would have any effect on when they would enter?
-

I believe the transfer portal is open now until January 2nd. Under the new rules, the next one will be only 30 days in the Spring. Am I wrong on this?
I think you are correct. In the meantime...

Golesh - A - Got USF to 6 wins. Gets a little hung up on running up the middle. Especially after a chunk play.
QB - A - To many turn overs. But is improving.
RB - C - Nobody stood out for me.
OL - C - We won 6 games. Needs a lot of improvement.
DL - D - Slow and weak.
LB - D - Ok in the middle. Caught out of position to many times on the outside.
DB - D - We won six games in spite of them. Terribly slow, poor tackling, bad angles to the ball, not aggressive.
ST - C - We'll have a good kicker next year. Overall team speed hurts ST's. Inconsistent punter.
Excited for December 3rd to find what bowl game we're going to. December 4th to see the signing class.
I think the future is bright. GO BULLS!

CJS was already gone. That was our interim/special teams coach. He was likable enough, but lost because he got conservative in the final minutes and relied on the worst defense in college football in 2022 to get a stop with the game on the line.
Probably would have been an embarrassing loss if CJS was still there.
Thanks FSU and the College Football Committee
