  1. I plan on traveling to a couple away games this season and am wondering- if I purchase tickets at USF for an away game what type of seat do you generally get? Is there an advantage to buying my away tickets through USF vs. ticketmaster? I think I'll go to the Lousiville game. Are the tickets the same price as home games at RayJay?
  2. New USF assistant arrested By GREG AUMAN, Times Staff Writer Published February 11, 2006 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TAMPA - Former Jefferson football coach Mike Simmonds, who resigned last week to join the coaching staff at USF, was arrested early Friday on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence. Simmonds, 41, was pulled over after a Tampa Police Department officer noticed his 1994 Jeep failing to stay in one lane as he drove north on Dale Mabry Highway. According to the arrest report, the officer observed that Simmonds "almost struck a fire rescue engine," which had to take evasive action to avoid a collision. When a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office cruiser turned on its flashing lights, Simmonds did not respond for a half mile, according to the report. The arresting officer reported the odor of alcohol on his breath, slurred speech and red, watery eyes. Simmonds was arrested at 12:40 a.m. after he refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test. He was released from county jail at 9:06 a.m. on $500 bond. Simmonds, who played one season with the Buccaneers and led Jefferson to two state championship games in eight seasons, stepped down Jan.30 to become a graduate assistant on USF's staff, working with defensive ends. He has continued as an in-school suspension teacher at Jefferson, driving to USF after school to begin offseason work. Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show no previous arrests for Simmonds, who declined to comment when reached at his home Friday afternoon. Hillsborough County schools were not in session Friday, and Jefferson principal Lou Diaz could not be reached for comment. USF coach Jim Leavitt, in New Jersey on a speaking engagement, could not be reached.
  3. I totally agree Peyton was seriously overrated. I was never impressed with his play. I'm confident we won't miss him.
  4. It's not a matter of sinking, rather- surveying and recognizing the heart and perseverance our Bulls display every night on the court. That is what many of us fans are excited about. So what if we haven't won a game yet in our conference, we are building something special at USF and it is obvious to many of us. That is exciting new, don't you agree?
  5. Real cute tough guy-you probably won your damsel over with that post. Shame on you!
  6. I respectfully disagree. We are losing games because we are the worst team in the strongest conference in America. We have four scholarship players on the team and that is, in large part, why we lose. We don't have the same talent other teams in our conference have. Having said that, no team plays harder or with more heart than our beloved Bulls. And that is not in spite of CRM, rather, it is because of him.
  7. Nicely stated. It's amazing we can compete the way we have with so few players available.
  8. I don't care what anyone says-CRM is a keeper. I think under the current circumstances, he has done a wonderful job leading this team.
  9. My retort and point I was trying to make initially was simple-declaring something wrong or immoral (if in-fact it is) is not what the Scriptures(Old and New Covenants) were demanding we not do. Your post was very funny-inaccurate, but funny. Shalom!
  10. Rabbi Rueb, you obviously are not a student of the Scriptures. This is not the Talmud you're trying to quote. Be a blessing to us all and don't appeal to the Scriptures as evidence for your argument when you've firstly, haven't understood their meaning and secondly, you've taken the meaning out of context.
  11. No, instead we should encourage them to get half naked and shake their a&& for the world. Give me a break!
  12. Can you edit the outcome so we win like 17-14 with a field goal at the last second? Yeah- then make our fans rush the field and tear down the goal posts. And make us the lead in on ESPN's sports center. I'd buy one of those . Otherwise, I'd rather forget that day in Charlotte.
  13. I agree our play was embarassing and doesn't bode well for the Big East prestigiousness. Hopefully, WVU and Lousiville will be victorious. Good Luck!
  14. We should not have extended his contract that is for sure
  15. I agree with all except the interference calls. I think Jenkins committed pass interference on the long ball and no question the endzone play was interference.
  16. That looks to be the only adjustment made by our guys.
