  1. well lets hope Cadet is not reading this board then
  2. Whoa Sutton has a 640 SAT? Lets hope the guy was sick that day or something......
  3. I saw more out of Williams at the bowl game than I had previously, and My opinion of him went from "should never get of the scout team" to will serve as decent depth. The guy can really block and is ok between the tackles, but in the end his lack of speed is just way too great to overcome.
  4. Cadet is at the top of my wish list this year among remaining recruits, esp. if Marve goes elsewhere.
  5. Any idea when we will start hearing which players got a combine invite? IMO if Snake doesnt get one it will be a rediculous snub, and I'm hoping St. Louis, Ean, and maybe SJ get one as well.........
  6. Excellent. McCaskill in my opinion could be a surprise starter next season.
  7. Looks like the three Amigos forgot their schizo meds again......
  8. It was alot of talk about Dawsey, and how it really reflects well on USF that we put out good assistants. Then There was discussion on Marve w/ Josh saying it would prolly come down to FSU and USF, a slight edge to the Criminoles. Brantley seemed to be kinda looking down his nose at USF, and slipped in a bunch of remarks like "im sure there will be a lot of partial qualifiers, etc.
  9. He will certainly drafted, probably 3rd-4th round.
  10. It shouldnt be too hard to attract a new DL and WR coach.... JJ and Selvie both have great potential, as does the entire recieving corps. By the way, next year I think Carlton Mitchell is just gonna BLOW UP!!
  11. Well actually, after watching the videos again, Cadet's Height may be borderline, but he has plenty of arm......
  12. About a month to go in the recruiting process, and it looks like we may pull in our best class ever! For those in the know, and to facilitate general football discussion, here are a few names i'm wondering about. Latravous Washington: Ath. Bradenton Supposedly commited to Nebraska, where his brother (Fabian of the Oakland Raiders) went, but I hear he is wavering. Will probably play safety, but maybe USF could offer him a shot at playing qb. http://sunshinepreps.net/viewer/index.php?op=show&video=2007308.wmv Looking at the video, his throwing mechanics are really pretty poor, but seems to have decent arm strength and is definately very big and fast. Calvin Sutton: LB. Deland This guy has been offered and is visiting USF. Auburn wants him and has offered, so he must be a real force considering he is about 5'10. http://sunshinepreps.net/viewer/index.php?op=show&video=2007361.wmv Travaris Cadet: Ath. Miami Central I inquired about this guy a while back, and he has a visit to USF coming up. Its interesting to me that we seem to be kinda backing off the Miami area this year. http://sunshinepreps.net/viewer/index.php?op=show&video=2007522.wmv Compared to Washington, Cadet seems to be more polished, and he is obviously very quick. Arm strength and Height seem borderline, but we've heard that before...... If nothing else, could definately be a playmaking return man and slot reciever. Anyone with knowledge of these guys, or others to add to the list, it'd be great to get some serious football discussion going on this particular board.
  13. How rediculous is it that GT stuck with Reggie Ball for 4 years! Even I could win a few games throwing to Calvin Johnson..
  14. Never heard of him, couldnt find him on the scout or rivals index, or espn.. Of course Selvie was the same way
  15. Cedric Hill at TE is basically a buffed-up reciever. If he's 240 then Im...... well 25 pounds heavier than I am. I think that by the end of next year Ketchel will be the starting tight end if he can put on weight.
  16. None of them have the height for TE. Samuels could easily move to WR or CB, though both are deep positions. Dorsey could be a LB I guess, or maybe a SS.
  17. Hill should redshirt to find a position. We are stacked at WR, but he could probably contribute there. He is kinda big and maybe not quite fast enough for a corner, and we are loaded at safety. I honestly think he could be in the running for the backup qb spot, as Voss is not ready and Severino does not fit the offense.
  18. Gotta love how that clown Bianchi has changed his stripes.... It wasnt long ago he was fellating O'liar.
  19. The truth is that PJ was a subpar qb, but no one tried harder. I criticized him many times for his play, as is the right of a fan to do when the team is faring poorly, but now that his career is over we should recognize the effort and class that he has shown these last five years, as well as the role that he has played in Grothe's development.
  20. He's not 200, but hes not that far off. Im more or less the same height as Matt, (maybe 1/2 inch taller), and I weigh about 180. Im sure Grothe is bigger than I am, and certainly has more muscle mass. I'd be surprised if hes less than 185-190. In general I would say that USF exaggerates players weights even more than most teams, not that it really matters.
