Hello all I was in BHM in November and stayed at the Sheraton downtown. There is nothing to do around the hotel unless you like to by jacked up by muggers and bums. About 3 miles east of downtown there is a area called the Five Points South district of Birmingham that has all kinds of clubs, restaurants and bars. Hello again Just an FYI, if you purchase a ticket on Southwest from Tampa to Birmingham and USF gets a bowl bid from the Texas Bowl you can change your reservation and not be penalized with any fees. "If you choose not to use a restricted ticket or Ticketless Travel funds that you have already purchased, the amount you paid for your travel may be applied toward the purchase of another Southwest Airlines reservation so long as travel will be completed within one year from date of original purchase.
